Obama's generosity???

Well, well, well. . . generosity now has new meaning! OBAMA DESERVES nothing, because HE HAS DONE NOTHING! He talked sweetly to get all of the Michigan and Florida delegates seated at the convention only to benefit himself (as usual). Why did he not come forward and be the bigger "MAN" when it counted? He sings a pretty song and has lots of bird feeders, but really, WHAT HAS HE DONE?????? How quickly we forget the real candidate for real change. You know the one who has been doing for years!

You Obama-rama, "jump on the band wagon" folks will see how far his song takes you this fall. Do you really think the VOTERS in Michigan and Florida will forgive and forget so easily? He stole the race, with a little help from his friends and tons of money from very wealthy people - I guess he can cheer for their generosity!

Hillary

It doesn't do anything if she releases her delegates before the vote which she has said she will do. Anyone who disregards the will of the people is not presidential material. The close primary says Hillary should be the VP.

Hillary, etc.

As a staunch New England independent, I find the 'selection' of Obama over Hillary by the media distasteful, gender offensive and another foul ball on the state of policitcs in America. I am well educated both north and south of the Mason Dixon line, am well traveled, work for the military, and am a biologist and agriculutralist by education and profession. I find Obama's thinly veiled sermonizing disconcerting and offending. I find his answers to the very difficult questions concerning our nation dangerously troubling and his obvious lack of knowledge of the history of America disturbing. If you do not know what makes you an American then how can you honestly lead and defend America? Dare I say, "It's the Constitution, Stupid?"

I am glad my home state of New Hampshire has a Democrats for McCain drive going, am happy that women have started the PUMA Party and feel that this political season may have started a new chapter in American presidential politics - more parties, more choices and more voices being heard.

I sincerely hope folks vote for the candidate of their choice and are not put off by the nay-sayers who clamor "You will be throwing your vote away." How rhetorical to say by voting you are throwing away your vote. After all, voting is the issue, not the candidate you choose or not choose.

No! We are not happy...Hillary should have been the nominee.

Obama can't win without Hillary on his side but Hillary can win against McCain without Obama in her side.

Why is it that Robert Kennedy Jr. needs to step in as representative for Obama to go to CA...is it because he did not win California?

Obama cannot handle the 3 o'clock call...just like his response on the Georgia's predicament over Russia. Then he changed his tune and copied McCain's response.

Is this the chief we want in the oval office...I don't think so...

Hillary would have done much better....

polls: BO has made no progress with Hil's all summer

Ah, here's the new poll:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26314990/

NBC/WSJ Poll: McCain halves Obama's lead

Obama up three points; still hasn't convinced some Clinton backers

....

According to the poll, 52 percent of them say they will vote for

Obama, but 21 percent are backing McCain, with an additional 27

percent who are undecided or want to vote for someone else.

polls: BO has made no progress with Hil's all summer

A new poll says about 50% of Hil's are supporting Obama, nearly that many are not supporting him. It shows about 27% voting for McCain and about 21% for other candidates or undecided.

That's pretty close to what Opinion Research found in June and July: 52% for Obama and c. 46% not supporting him.

Last week a Pew found that Obama hadn't made any progress with Hil supporters all summer.

I think it's a matter of how the different pollsters count those who are planning to protest by staying home. If the poll is limited to 'likely voters' the stayhomes are ignored. The latest poll that shows the 'not supporting' as about 27% for McCain and 21% 'undecided' may be counting the stayhomes among the undecided. Unless all the stayhomes have decided to become undecided. :-)

I've got cites at a diary at clintondems.com and at turndownobama.com. If anyone is still reading this far, I'll look up the more recent poll.

I tried reaching out to Hillary Supporter... NO MORE!

Seems the only way to satisfy them is to turn back the clock and somehow have Hillary Clinton win the nomination. SHE LOST. To blame Florida and Michigan on Obama is dishonest, to blame an imbalance of media coverage is casting your anger at the wrong person. You didn't like CNN, stop watching them! You want to vote for McCain go right on ahead. I'll drive you to the polls. And when Obama wins, you stay right over there in Mac's camp.

Delusions Part 2

For the record, i second the opinion expressed by Jade of CA. I believe Sen. Clinton would have saved her political future if she had conceeded earlier and gracefully, when it became apparent to everyone with a brain, that she couldn't win.

I honestly sympathize with some of Clinton's supporters because i used to be one of them. Millions of Americans put their lives on hold to support her candidacy....and a trully historic and inspirational candidacy it was.

I withdrew my support for Sen. Clinton when it became apparent that Mark Penn,Howard Wolfson,Lanny Davis and even Bill Clinton started floating 'fear balloons' about Obama's race and his diverse background. Case in Point, Bill Clinton dismissed Obama's win in South Carolina's Primary saying; 'Jesse Jackson won in South Carolina twice'.

Sen. Clinton could have retained my vote alongside many others if she had disavowed such BushRovian race tactics. But she played along. She went on to PA and KY riding atop pick-up trucks as the 'hometown' girl...who had won the support of 'hardworking, white Americans'.

By injecting racial politics and appealing to some of the lowest, most prejudiced and close minded sectors of the electorate, she became just another angry candidate fighting for 'what used to be'.

The problem for candidates like Sen. Clinton and Sen. McCain is that 'what used to be aint no more'. The new age of American politics dawns, wherein racial and gender politics risk extinction. Candidates for any office would have to debate ideas and policy without dividng the electorate into races and genders.

Every recent poll shows Obama has successfully gained at least 80% of Clinton supporters as we look forward to the general election. The remainder of her supporters are a holdout, vocal minority bent on selling shallow,half-baked lies about Sen. Obama in order to destroy his electoral chances and secure a victory for John McCain(their true candidate).

So what does the future hold for Sen. Clinton?

I advise her abandon advisors like Mark Penn and return to her real image as the forceful, intelligent, confident and pricipled politician who managed to protect the Clinton presidency from a relentless Republican onsalught.

I Believe she will play an important role in shaping America's political future.

In the meantime, all Progressives,Liberals and true Democrats(PUMA excluded) need to unite behind Sen. Barack Obama and this historic moment to put our beloved nation back on the right track. Elections are never about the candidates ambitions, they're about the hopes and dreams of our nation. Support Obama!!!

Aidyn

I have no reason to be happy. We all know that Obama will still be the nominee and that to me is not good enough.

"Most votes in the history of primary elections"... Puh-leeease!

That's an easy feet when your chief rival is not on the ticket in some states and once he basically clipses the nomination, doesn't have to campaign hard as he turned his focus to the presidency.

Also, do you seriously think that Clinton has any chance of winning any additional office be it that of Senate or President without the black vote she just LOST!!!!!

We're so done with her and you people can't do it by yourself.
