Slimy is a bit uncouth
He is trailing in the polls.
He is becoming desperate as less than 30 days remain until the vote.
It is pull out all the stops and time for a hail Mary.
He is following the advice he pays for by his campaign staff.
Slimy is a bit gross actually, for an acknowledged war hero.
Even his opponent speaks well of him and his service to his country.
Slimy might be better suited to describe the author of the blog entry.
History Lessons
Because being honest LOST him the nomination in 2000. McCain is playing to win and he's going to need to use any and every political trick to win. You think Obama isn't doing the same?
feeding the trolls
The author apparently believes in feeding the trolls.
Elections are contentous enough without this sort of opinion. A simple web search leads me to believe that McCain is more accessible then you would have people believe in this opinion piece.
A quick look back let me know that you are not only pro-Obama but anti-McCain, so it isn't just this article.
Please do not be under the misapprehension that opinion pieces do not deserve a high journalistic standard. An opinion piece is about sharing a view but doing so in a professional way.
Mccain is scarry
Mccain is a lap dog. He panders to the republican elite and lobbyists. He will have to live with himself and what he has become. It is unfortunate that his footnote in history will read Mccain was a wannabe that would never be.
