Let's Skip the Patriotism and Religious Talk About McCain and Obama and Move On to Substantive Issues

McCain is too friggin old to be president

He is a cranky old beast that calls his wife a c*nt. Admittedly he knows nothing about the economy and is still "learning". Also, does not know how to work a computer in a time where science and technology is advancing astronomically. And this is the best the republicans have to offer in a time where our economy is sinking???... technology is expanding??? This man is a dud. I used to have respect for him, but after listening to him for some time now there is no possible way I could vote for him. I will again (sigh) vote for the lesser of two evils that our corporate media has selected for us.

Question Patriotisms of John McCain and Charlie Black

With Charlie Black still around John McCain, I now question John McCain's patriotism. I question whether John McCain is someone who upholds traditional American values when he keeps a former lobbyist with strong ties with some of the world's worst dictators.

Black is also a national security threat. He said that another terrorist attack to the United States will be a huge advantage for McCain. And Charlie Black has a history of working with bad dictators, so he must know their methods of terrorizing people.

Republicans have exploited national security for their own political advantage during the last 8 years. I do not believe McCain and Black are sincere on national security and I see McCain also as a national security threat as long as he keeps Charlie Black around him. McCain and Black together are very dangerous for our national security. It's time to aggressively question their patriotism.

TRUE AMERICAN PATRIOTS DO NOT EXPLOIT THE NATIONAL SECURITY ISSUES FOR THEIR OWN POLITICAL ADVANTAGES. MCCAIN SHALL NOT HIDE BEHIND HIS MILITARY RECORD TO DODGE QUESTION ON HIS ASSOCIATION WITH CHARLIE BLACK!

I agree.

Both candidates have different points of view.

Both are patriotic though their supporters try to bring up irrelevant issues.

I would like to know more about the individuals they would pick for their inner circle since I want to make sure these candidates don't end up with a group think mentality.

MC-CAIN’S EXTRAORDINARY CHARACTER

MC-CAIN’S EXTRAORDINARY CHARACTER AND UNIQUE EXPERIENCE

Considering his:

• Sacrifice of American Wealth and Blood for the Sole Benefit of Israel

• Amnesty for Illegal Mexicans Aliens Usurping Jobs and Services

• Outsourcing of Jobs and Technology to China

• Early Release from Captivity for Military Secrets

• McCain-Feingold Legislation Suppressing Freedom of Speech

• McCain-Leiberman Control Gun Legislation

• Slander and Ridicule of Huckabee, Romney, and Ron Paul

• Roberts and Falwell, “agents of intolerance”

• Roe vs. Wade Sacrificial Killing of Children

• To “occupy Iraq for 100 years”, “bomb Iran”, and “just keep Afghanistan”.

• Veto of Bush Tax Cuts

• Keating Five Crooks

• Unsolved Recession and Inflation Problem

• Unsolved Heath Care Problem

• Unsolved Social Security Problem

• Long Scandalous, Contentious, and Non-Productive Political Career

Can such an incompetent and dishonest politician; and such a pretentious Christian and patriot, insanely dishonoring Christian culture and Constitution rule, ever be trusted to cherish, honor, and serve the American People?

With Leiberman Neo-Liberal Princess Hillary burnt at the stake by the victorious Kennedy Liberals, shall the Reagan Conservatives give this notorious Podhoretz Neo-Conservative puppet, Insane McCain, a date with presidency, or a date with the Republican firing squad?

What an idiot !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chris, there is no 21st Amendment that has repealed any standards of morality in the conservative churches. Beer is legal in the secular world, but selling it is still seen by many in the church world as willingly leading others into sin--and therefore reprehensible. The problem, I've discovered, is that many of the church people do not yet know that the McCains run a big beer distributorship called Hensley & Company. They just don't know, and telling them is what these "faith of the candidates" discussions should include.

Todd, you would be referring to former (or still actual?) Weather Underground bombers William Ayers and Bernadette Dorn. During the 60s/70s they bombed a variety of places, including a judge's home and the Pentagon. As recently as 9/10/01 Williams Ayers has said that he does not regret bombing places in America and admitted he should've done more. He is friends with Obama.

Daniel David, someone should've told you that the 21st Amendment repealed Prohibition.

Patriot?

Could someone please set me straight on something. I thought I heard a story in the media quite a few months ago about Obama having some sort of friendly relationship with a known/admitted terrorist (some guy that had a hand in some attack on US soil many years ago).

Was that story or that connection between those two guys completely made up?

If not made up....was it an example of the "facts" getting twisted?

If the story of Obama's connection with a known terrorist is not made up, or the facts did not get twisted....then I say, Obama has some explaining to do before I could agree about his patriotism.

If the story is made up or the facts twisted, then let's get the facts straight and settled once and for all so we don't hear about it anymore.

Since this author brought it up

Better questions on the subject of presidential candidate faith are to be asked of McCain. How does decades of beer dealing square with those Baptists out there in Arizona that have McCain as a member? Likewise, how does all the cussing and expressed pride of hard-drinking, skirt-chasing youth set with them? And the adulterous midlife wife dumping? Where can you find any actual Christian church people who would vote that bunch of stuff into the presidency? Are some of them (us) so church-lulled and Dobson-dulled that they (we) would not instinctively know from their (our) own Holy Spirit discernment that God could not possibly be calling them (us) to vote for such a man to lead America?

And they say Jeremiah Wright or some days of Obama being a small child amongst Muslims (in Indonesia) are the faith "problems"? Hogwash (aka, lies.)

Umm, Mashek, it isn't McCain's responsibility to hold the hand of Obama. Obama created his own problems regarding patriotism and faith, and it is his responsibility to fix it, not McCain's.
