First let's address the 10 yrs before we benifit from drilling our own oil. That's great. That means in ten years I will be better off than if we didn't start drilling. That is common sence. to not drill is like saying there isn't any sence in saving for retirement because I won't benifit from the savings until I retire. I cannot believe anyone is still talking about Kerry's war service. When Clinton was running and republicans brought up the subject that he never served these same idiot demicrats said very loud and clear that having served in the military or not serving had no influance on being a good commander and chief. If it does matter then there is simply no choice seeing as mohamid Obama never shared a foxhole. I hope my children do well and make tons of money. If your children do not do well so what. The government should not have the right to over tax and punish my kids because they tried harder. I owe you nothing and my kids owe your kids nothing. I believe in my right to self defence. I believe in God and the right of the people to worship God in public schools or anywhere else they want. I do not support gay rights. I do not support goverment funded medical care. I do not have an education but through much hard work I am in a position to do well for my family. I did this without aid from the government. I am responsible for myself. If I have then it is because I did. If I have not it is because I did not. I am republican.

I'm sorry that some people in our society try harder. Since when does the effluent get such a big say in determining how much money I should be able to take home? I'm sorry that so many middle class sycophants feel down on their luck, and Obama is taking advantage of you by feeding you lies and making you believe that by putting him in office, your subprime mortgage problems will vanish, your inability to pay for your family's summer vacation will be replaced with free gasoline. It's a classic example of the have-nots being bitter. Only this time you get to decide if you want to stay a have-not, fuming at Bush and people who had little to nothing to do with your financial situation being dismal, or if you want to pull yourself up by your bootstraps and work, work work your way into a better life.

Hard to know what "negative" is

Once upon a time, going negative on McCain would be to point out his hard-cussin' skirt-chasin' (including adultery with Cindy while he was still married to his first wife) swagger style. And perhaps pointing out how he has profited for 25 years off of Cindy's daddy's beer business--including the money needed for his first run to Congress.

But now it backfires, because Republicans in general have discarded their morals to a point where they think these things are McCain's strengths, and they're proud of him specifically for them.

Will - obviously, you do not understand how the dynamics of the federal government work. Just because Democrats control the majority of the set in the House in Senate doesn't mean that they can pass laws to:

A. Cut spending (they tried to cut spending to the Iraq War - Bush vetoed it)

B. Get Bush out of office in the middle of his presidental term.

C. Change energy policy immediately so we can start pumping oil in FL, AK and CA tomorrow. It's already been stated time and time again that even if we added 1 million barrels a day of good ole USA oil to production, reduction in the cost of oil would be minimal, because oil prices are set WORLDWIDE, not just here in the US.

Obama is not a Muslim. To say that someone is Muslim is to say that they believe that Mohammed was the savior. Obama has expressed over and over again that his father's beliefs were not his own. He did not grow up with his father, so how could he possibly AUTOMATICALLY be Muslim. Just from your comment here, no matter what he says, you are just going to believe what you want to believe, regardless if its true or not. As far as Middle East credibility, do you believe he has less credibility than Bush or McCain? I highly doubt it.

I don't see how you feel the Democratic Party has become socialist when they haven't passed any type of law that would be considered "socialist" in any way. But, if you don't wish to utilize your vote in November, it's sad.

Responding to Will McKillips of Ok on June 12, who stated that Obama is a Muslim because his father was a Muslim -- you don't know what you are talking about. The decision to practice one's religion doesn't just pass down to your off-springs. You are either brought up in a certain religion, and many people than later make the decision to switch to another religion. This is what happened, I believe, in Obama's case.

Second - if you and other Americans would stop hating Muslims long enough to get to know Muslims, you would be quite surprised that in the religion of Islam, the Arabic word "Muslim" means "one who believes in ONEGod". With this definition, all Christians and other religions, would be called "Muslims" as we all state that we believe in "one God", yet, we may call "God" by many names, but we are all still speaking of God - the Almighty. We are all God's children - all of us and Obama's campaign, is going to help remind us of this.

You might also be surprised at the number of similarities between the religion of Islam and Christianity. Yet, you mock Muslims and many despise a people because you really know little about them. You have grouped them all together based on things that you have heard or out of your fears, and worst, you villify them for things that they have not done. Shame on you - and I bet you call yourself a person of God.

Only God sits in judgement based on our deeds, not because we say out of our mouths, that we believe in the Almighty. Being Christian is to be Christ-like.....would Christ condemn others because they belong to different faiths? Think about it....

The Democrats promised to end the war in '06 and then they sent more troops, the Democrats promised to cut spending and it went up 7%, the Democrats promised to get Bush out of office and they didn't. We are suffering from high fuel costs because Democrats have tied our hands to Foriegn oil by not allowing us to go after our own natural resources. Democrats keep telling me that it would take ten years for any benefits from drilling at home. They said the same thing ten years ago, what will they tell me ten years from now? I won't vote for an OLD MAN who has no history of change, and I won't vote for some ROCK STAR who can't possibly bring change. He is Muslim! Any boy born to a Muslim man is a Muslim. Look it up! So if he renounces his true religion, how much credit do you think the Middle East is going to give him?
