The Edwards Irrelevance
John Edwards, the former Democratic senator from North Carolina, vice presidential nominee, and—briefly this year—presidential aspirant, is playing games with his preference for his party's nomination. Truth be told, it really doesn't matter at this late hour.
Edwards holds a meager handful of pledged delegates, and even they can act as free agents at the convention in Denver. Perhaps Edwards simply wants to hear his name placed in nomination so he can speak at the convention.
As an admitted supporter of Edwards long before this marathon started in Iowa, I was quickly disappointed as the large field of candidates debated frequently on cable TV.
Edwards's brand of southern populism turned more strident in the debates. He ran aggressively against Washington, painting himself as an outsider who wanted to change everything about the capital city.
Columnist Jules Witcover wrote as long ago as October that Edwards had transformed himself from "a cuddly puppy in 2004 to attack dog in 2008." The Edwards strategy was aimed mainly at Sen. Hillary Clinton, the then front-runner. Edwards ripped her as hostage to all the terrible problems in Washington.
Since Edwards bowed out of the race, he has been silent on the sidelines as Clinton and Sen. Barack Obama engaged in their long battle. He refrained from any endorsement until last week, or did he?
Appearing on a morning television show, Edwards was asked his preference in the North Carolina primary. He said something like "em" and it was interpreted by many as "him"—a bow to Obama. But he and friends said it was "them" and that he is still neutral.
All of this funny game playing came as former Edwards campaign manger David Bonior and several superdelegates declared for Obama. A few Clinton supporters even defected to the Obama camp.
It matters little now what Edwards does. He's waited too long and is irrelevant to the decision.

your there please also "check" out a book called "Osama Bin Ladin" by Peter Bergen who actually took years off a paying job on CNN after the first "Twin Tower" attack. I think you'll find that the "blue nowhere" does not demonize correctly nor does it really tell you much about anything.
I also feel that if you check out books on the "democratic" party you'll find that this is the first time in history that people have actually purposely "threatened" within that party to vote Republican. Why is that. Do you know that there is a "green party and "independent" party. Did you know you can write yourself in. Ergo, that threat is a little vapid.
Oh, here is an idea. Instead you could not vote if you don't like one person (for whatever "real reason"). In that your not convinced due to misinformation may I suggest that you do one of the above instead of changing parties in a move to "get even". It does not work.
It's been done historically. I did not work out so well.

It is duly noted that you are a white woman that is 58. That however does not quite fill in a lot of gaps here. I know you are a Clinton Supporter and I think that is wonderful as this is America which used to be a leading Democracy (albeit young still a Leader amongst new Democracys). Clinton does not need to serve our country in any capacity but does and that is commendable.
What you fail to recognize is that posting nasty little links to many things that are ummmmmmm. wrong....is as if someone hijacked my remote and turned it to Fox from C-Span.
DID you know that Obama has been to over 2,000 churches in Chicago not just Rev. Wright's. Do you know how many sermons Reverend Wright gives a week (not to mention) years that Obama was not in attendance. Have you figured out that Obama's refusal to speak ill of him he took as a dismissal and is mad. He also has a book to promote.
Oh....you can google the big fat "Blue Nowhere" until the cows come home but may I suggest something really helpful. You state he does not reference his Father and yet he wrote a book about that 2 year relationship. That book is oft quoted. You State he references his WHITE Mother. Yes, that is who raised him and according to Science that Women is responsible for the 2% of him called "unique personality" that is a part of all of us. It's called the human genome project. Check it out. There is many a book on it and one of Barack Obama's Mother as well. There are both filled with facts.
Did you know he lost his first bid at Senator due to being perceived as "too white". Have you ever googled Anwar Sadat.....No wait the books are better.
Your filled with negative information and I could provide 1,000,000,000,000,000 links to go for more. I won't as the "blue nowhere" is filled with crummy misinformation about Hillary also.
Instead I suggest a more positive approach. Do you have a local Public Library??? College??? Jr. College. Good according to the late great Thomas Dewey if you simply go to Non-fiction and go to Obama, Barack well you get my drift.

I'm really not trying to be sarcastic i'm pointing out that if you rely on the internet or media for information your just filled with misinformation and that is not helpful and you may end up eating crow if you follow that path. The Library System of America has taken a little dive in funding over the past eight years but they have a system in publication which is 1,000,000,0000 more honest then the links you provided. Trust me it's fun.
