Released memo's only for political gain
President Obama,
released these memos only as a political stunt to cast the prior administration in a bad light....He keeps blaming them for everything...and never takes responsibility for himself on anything....He just puts others down because he isn't sure of himself...and endangering our troops by doing this makes him responsible for any of their deaths or attacks we will face. for him to release half of the information does show he is hiding something....and we know that must be embarassing him, and will show him to be a liar just like other thibgs he has said that arn't really true....
all of the things he said during the campaign, have been just to get elected...and for his own political gain...
He is interested in himself,,,and his power....
He is leading our nation to destruction of the values we were founded on....He uses scriptures to make for his own purposes but he is not practicing them...He wants us to be fiscally responsible, but he is using Air Force One like a taxi, going places for show, and he doesn't care because he isn't paying for it we are.
God will humble this man, because he claims to be a Christia, but is the most arrogant, self centered man I have ever seen....
Our nation needs God's help, and pray for God to deal with Obama, because he doesn't care about the average person, only his agenda, and power....he never wanted to use his middle name until he was elected because he knew what it might do to those of us who questione his ideals, and religious purposes...
You can't spend the time under a radical preacher for 20 years and not pick up those ideals....and now he is pushing for his re-electio group Organize America already...he has the power and he isn't planing on losing it....he doesn't care about running the nation, just controling it, now and in four years...

that is why he is pushing for this healthcare reform to be done yesterday,,,just like the stimulus which no one read, or understood...and they won't this either...and this is so he can use it to get his democratic friends elected......not because it will help Americans....
Just quit paying for ilegal immigrants healthcare, because they aren't paying into a system....and we can't keep paying for people who aren't being made to pay into the system....and that would help pay for most of the uninsured that are legal citizens....no other nation is dumb enough to pay health care costs for non citizens who don't even pay taxes...how crazy is that....
We are in big trouble unless things change really soon, and people wake up to what Obama is really doing....

Mr. Cheney had his chance
Dick Cheney had plenty of time to plead for release of this information when he was in office.
If he didn't, why not?

Just Hypocrisy in any case
"OUR" favorite Jr Senator has chosen political gain over the security of OUR troops.
He has attempted to take a high moral ground by declaring that throwing water in a suspected Terrorist's face is "torture" BUT fully well condones AND supports with OUR US tax dollars the CERTAIN DEATH of un-born Americans for either convienience or harvest. " Life, Liberty, Pursuit of Happiness"?
Remember, Mr Obama threw out this bomb while the USA has "boots on the ground". If he cared about my friends he would have simply changed policy quietly and left our enemies guessing about thier fate if captured by US forces.
As I see it Mr Obama's policies are: Blame the prior Administration, Consolodate Executive power, discredit ANY opposition and bring the USA to it's knees through bankrupcy.

The ends certainly do not justify the means in any case. But the problem here is: regular interrogation techniques are discussed in the army field manual and Al Queda trains its Jihadists against those. If it comes between deciding between the lives of American families and some guy captured on a foreign battlefield holding an AK-47 who might know something about plans to kill said American families, I will choose America over him every time.

Ends and Means
The problem with your argument is the underlying assumption that good ends are always justified by questionable means. As a retired American military colonel, I can tell you that this is counter to the education all military people receive vis-a-vis the laws of war, the Geneva Conventions, the treatment of combatants, and the meaning of the U.S. Constitution. Yes, we may have gained information. We can also gain information about the activities of rapists and murderers by allowing police detectives to torture them. 4,500 American lives have so far been lost in Iraq because of the tortured logic of the Bush-Cheney years that ends are justified by means....any means. This logic is wrong and it is simply unAmerican. I did not serve the United States for 26 years to have our reputation and goodness dragged through the mud created by people who think we can routinely violate our treaty obligations and our own Constitution. I do not believe every step President Obama is making in this debate is right. Further, I believe he may be just as partisan as the Republicans. But this is not sports...it is not pick one team or the other. Bush and Cheney were wrong about this issue, and they will stay wrong no matter what missteps the Obama team may make.
Red, White and Blue Lawlessness
I love all of these comments. Right on the mark. I believe these memos are planted just for this purpose. I also believe that if the Obama administration released all the Guantanamo photographs Americans would never leave their front door to pick-up another newspaper because we would be so ashamed at the crimes our government committed in the name of fighting terrorism because they lost faith in what we stood for and decided to fight lawlessness with red, white and blue lawlessness.
As for this news reporter's slant on this issue, I believe Moxieme, MD clarified it best and Bumann,WI put a period after it!
