What Is Obama Hiding? Cheney's Right: Release the Memos

The most striking statement in the president's speech on national security yesterday at the National Archives:
I will never hide the truth because it is uncomfortable.
But here's former Vice President Cheney on the memos that President Obama refuses to release:
Yet somehow, when the soul-searching was done and the veil was lifted on the policies of the Bush administration, the public was given less than half the truth. The released memos were carefully redacted to leave out references to what our government learned through the methods in question. Other memos, laying out specific terrorist plots that were averted, apparently were not even considered for release. For reasons the administration has yet to explain, they believe the public has a right to know the method of the questions, but not the content of the answers. ...
As far as the interrogations are concerned, all that remains an official secret is the information we gained as a result. Some of his defenders say the unseen memos are inconclusive, which only raises the question why they won't let the American people decide that for themselves. I saw that information as vice president, and I reviewed some of it again at the National Archives last month. I've formally asked that it be declassified so the American people can see the intelligence we obtained, the things we learned, and the consequences for national security. And as you may have heard, last week that request was formally rejected. It's worth recalling that ultimate power of declassification belongs to the president himself. President Obama has used his declassification power to reveal what happened in the interrogation of terrorists. Now let him use that same power to show Americans what did not happen, thanks to the good work of our intelligence officials ...
It's clear the president is hiding the truth because it's uncomfortable for him.
Whether you think this was torture or not, Dick Cheney has a point. It's time to release those memos. The president owes it to the American people.

Obama is not a good liar
Fool us once - shame on him. Fool us twice - shame on us.
Obama has fooled the nation once with his campaign lies. Now he balmes everything - STILL, after 10 months in office - on President Bush.
He isn'tr very good at fooling us anyomore. We're up to his pathetic mis-behavior.

Released memo's only for political gain
President Obama,
released these memos only as a political stunt to cast the prior administration in a bad light....He keeps blaming them for everything...and never takes responsibility for himself on anything....He just puts others down because he isn't sure of himself...and endangering our troops by doing this makes him responsible for any of their deaths or attacks we will face. for him to release half of the information does show he is hiding something....and we know that must be embarassing him, and will show him to be a liar just like other thibgs he has said that arn't really true....
all of the things he said during the campaign, have been just to get elected...and for his own political gain...
He is interested in himself,,,and his power....
He is leading our nation to destruction of the values we were founded on....He uses scriptures to make for his own purposes but he is not practicing them...He wants us to be fiscally responsible, but he is using Air Force One like a taxi, going places for show, and he doesn't care because he isn't paying for it we are.
God will humble this man, because he claims to be a Christia, but is the most arrogant, self centered man I have ever seen....
Our nation needs God's help, and pray for God to deal with Obama, because he doesn't care about the average person, only his agenda, and power....he never wanted to use his middle name until he was elected because he knew what it might do to those of us who questione his ideals, and religious purposes...
You can't spend the time under a radical preacher for 20 years and not pick up those ideals....and now he is pushing for his re-electio group Organize America already...he has the power and he isn't planing on losing it....he doesn't care about running the nation, just controling it, now and in four years...

he is just showing his true colors....
don't be fooled by his eloquent words, that he can;t even say without a screen....don;t be fooled by this mans words....look at his actions and what he has or hansn't done...and you will see what this man is really about..He isn't for the average American...he is out to keep power for him, and other democrats....
that is why he is pushing for this healthcare reform to be done yesterday,,,just like the stimulus which no one read, or understood...and they won't this either...and this is so he can use it to get his democratic friends elected......not because it will help Americans....
Just quit paying for ilegal immigrants healthcare, because they aren't paying into a system....and we can't keep paying for people who aren't being made to pay into the system....and that would help pay for most of the uninsured that are legal citizens....no other nation is dumb enough to pay health care costs for non citizens who don't even pay taxes...how crazy is that....
We are in big trouble unless things change really soon, and people wake up to what Obama is really doing....
