BBC and The Onion Channel April Fools' Day

With protesters chanting outside the G-20 summit, the carmakers heading toward bankruptcy, and a lot of anger out there in blogosphere, I think we need to lighten things up for April Fools' Day. So in the interest of a mental health break for my readers, here's my recommendation: The Onion's running tally of joke events from the first 100 days of the Obama administration, which starts with today's entry and works backward:

DAY 66: White House Chef Cristeta Comerford gives a blank, puzzled stare when Biden asks for 'Eggs Biden.'

It gets better as it goes on. In fact, the whole front page of The Onion today is pretty funny. It reminds me of my college newspaper's annual April Fools' joke edition. My kids were coming up with pranks to pull on their teachers over breakfast this morning, and one of them is giving her class a brief presentation on April Fools' Day, which includes this prank from the BBC.

Enjoy and happy April Fools' Day!
