Questioning the Role of Government

June 12, 2009 05:58 PM ET | Permanent Link | Print

There can be no better thing to do for your nation than to ponder the proper role of government. It is the fundamental foundation of our way of life and all things spring from this wellhead.

The ideal government

Would promote the general welfare by educating it's people, insuring the health of it's people, insuring an economic base from which all it's people could pursue unlimited wealth according to their abilites, protect individual fundamental rights and freedom in a secure environment--and insure that political parties did not assume unto themselves control of all of the above.

Meanwhile, we'll just have to struggle to do the best we can with the systems we have and try to improve them.

The scary present

Right now, as of Jan 20th, the role seems to be that of which is in control of everything and anyone who gets in the way will be punished. We must not comment on anything that is actual, for that would be wrong in the messiah's eyes. Until someone has courage enough to call for impeachment (take your pick on which count for impeaching as all have applied so far) then we can move on and go back to the constitution and its' rights that were so definitively given to us.
