I am a lifelong Republican who no longer has a party. I think the Democratic Party philosophy is far from my own, but the Republicans are owned by single-issue segments that I cannot support.

The Specter of Specter

Theorem: Senator specter is a man of priciples.

Therefor: He will continue to vote Republican while wearing a new label of "Democrat."

If, however, he does not vote his long-time principles, either his principles have changed or he has abandoned the ones he claimed to hold for so many years.

Time will tell which it is and his real motivation as a principled or an unprincipled senator. Sadly, we are disgustingly familiar with politicians who campaign one way and "legislate" another. Let's see if Senator Specter is just one more of them. Perhaps he just hung around politicians too long. Term limits anyone?
