A Path Less Taken?

Your review of Alan Corey's book, A Million Bucks by 30, began by citing his "unconventional saving techniques" like "reusing the same popcorn bag for months to get free refills" ["A Million Reasons to Smile," April 28-May 5].

When I ask my university students what their goals in life are, they increasingly (and depressingly) respond: to make a lot of money. When Corey claimed "he was just being creative," it perpetuated the idea that ethics don't matter when it comes to getting ahead financially. Now I understand why my students rarely claim their life goals are to serve humanity.
