American Auto Industry Crisis

It's about time
It's about time the auto industry feels the pain that we have for years. Jacking prices of vehicles to obscene amount, but the customer would have to drive one. Who has bailed out our middle class no one. Everybody talks but nothing is done. Lets keep giving billions to these huge corporate companies that cannot budget there own money except for there high paid salaries. No CEO has said he would take a cut in his salary! That would be foolish for him to give away millions in bonuses for him. As far as the UAW union has to much pull. If they don't want to negotiate then they can go down with the automakers. Wouldn't it be much easier to sell vehicles at a lowe price, at a lower profit than to sell 1 vehicle and make a huge profit. But that's how the big corporate offices work. I bought a ford fusion assembled in mexico. Now tell me those people got 30-40 dollars and hours to build them!! Maybe 7-8 dollars a day seems more like it. How about you Big three automakers stop being so greedy! That would solve a lot of your problems!!
German speed limits?
How about higher speedlimits for cars with high mileage and low emissions?
What they thought of and tried I don't know completely.
I don't know if any of what I am going to suggest would work,
but I would think it would be a good idea to make 90% of their
cars light weight and fuel effient and also make it law
that the 10% that is made left be used for people who are in business
that have to have big trucks to carry the supplies America needs.
And if that percentage is far off then make a decent percent everyone thinks is correct,
and they should slowly start taking in gas hogs to use the metal to make more fuel
effient. People need to gether more info on what Americans should be
buying that are made in America, and America needs to buy American products even if they can't afford them, even if the rich buy for the poor and middle class.
But it might be too late, and I am not so sure this would ever happen.
The big three blame game
how can these morons that run these company's really believe that the workers are the problems
look at your own pockets you fools you have been ripping us off for years, you have moved some plants out the the U.S. you have parts made out of the U.S., and we have been paying for it
think about what Unions tell there Members Buy American thats what we hear .
But then we hear you blaming the unions for being paid to much
you want us to bail you out, why don't you take a cut in your pay give back
stop looking for someone else to take the fall for you not doing your jobs you fools
give me one good reason to one buy a car from you and two why would i want to give you money
that you can't handle anyway
The Auto Industry asking for a bailout
I feel like we should let them have their money in order to keep the economy going but the overhead needs to be overhauled. I know they wasted most of the profits instead of putting it back into the company. This is obvious. I believe more conservative and more efficient over head needs to take over. I also think the government should stay involved and keep a close audit on the profits and losses. Especially, monitor those hefty bonuses that the overhead are getting. I think the government should stay involved as long as they are indebted. I also think they should be made to pay interest back to the tax payers. After all we can't buy a car without always paying an interest. So it is time to turn the tables.
The auto industry
It is unfair to say Detroit puts out junk, It is simply not true. I dare all the know it alls to comparison shop. Pick your Toyota or whatever, get the specs, price, mileage etc., test drive it. Then go to a G.M. or Ford dealer, pick a like model in specs, test drive, now guess what?
9 times out of 10 the American car will be less costly, offer better gas mileage and be equal or superior in quality. All while paying the so called fat cat U.A.W. employees.
While the much vaulted Transplants pay their Employees $13.00 an hour, with no retirement cost. So who is cheating who?
Finally, what comes around goes around, It won’t be long before other firms realize they do not have to honor their commitments to their retirees. So take care when wishing the retired auto worker ill fortune
Suggestion for the Auto Industry
GM and Ford should allow their stock and bond holders to use their investments toward the purchase of a new vehicle. The Auto companies reduce their debt and sell cars while investors get back a large percentage (if not all) of the face value of their investment. It's a win-win situation...
I love you!!
I hate the economy well i iove it but dont want to know how it works i dont want to be an economist like this smurf i know.
American auto companies
Iworked for GM thirth years years they are as great company. I don't buy anything but GM products.GM shares the wealth with it's employes this in turn helps to make the middle class. We in turn buy things that the pour can not, like cable news CNN,CMBC,and God forbid FOX NEWS. I would be glad to give concessions to help GM how has been good to me throuth the years, but it seems that most Americans wood like to see UAW workers pay be the same as for-eign car markers. If this is allowed to happen, what will become of the middle class workers? who will be able to buy things like cable news. Just remember fellow Americans if we our allowed to lose everything ,it will hurt all americans in the long run .I hope you understand our point of view. Thank you.
