So. It turns out I'm not the only American who agrees with the expert opinion that the federal war on marijuana is a waste of resources.

If you can believe President Obama, of the 3.5 million people who tried to participate in his virtual town hall meeting today, many had marijuana on their mind.

Audacity—showing little—chose to brush it all off as a joke.

Here is the excerpt from the transcript:

We took votes about which questions were going to be asked and ... three point five million people voted. I have to say that there was one question that was voted on that ranked fairly high and that was whether legalizing marijuana would improve the economy — (laughter) — and job creation. And I don't know what this says about the online audience — (laughter) — but I just want ... this was a fairly popular question; we want to make sure that it was answered. The answer is, no, I don't think that is a good strategy — (laughter) — to grow our economy. (Applause.)

We're going to need to work on him.

Why Not?

What happened? let's take a trip down memory lane... I'm only 22, yet back in the sixties Marijuana was used on a daily basis by Hippies, average joes, even the police... Even tho these days the numbers of Marijuana users has decreased, it's only due to the fact that it's illegal. If we were able to legalize it across the United States, it would boost our economy, ease the pain of patients, and even treat certain mental disorders... If California legalizes it (which Cali is considering) it would generate 6.2 billion dollars in taxes only.

now add that to 49 more states, you see the gravity of this. Law enforcement costs will decrease and they can dedicate more time, money, and resources to violence, Dangerous drugs, sexual offenders, and immigration. compared to these offenders; Marijuana users are wasted time and effort. thanks for reading this, (laughing) why is this even an issue??? why Not?

Canabis.

Marijuana needs to be legalized. If it was legal, it would most deff. raise the U.S Economy. Okay listen at this. SALVIA, is legal and it's basically the same thing as LSD or Mushrooms. You can get it at a smokeshop. Even though most people sell it, you can still tax it. I'm sure cops are sick & tired of arresting people because of it. Half of the cops smoke marijuana too. It's bad. Marijuana is getting all over. One day it's gonna be so much all over the place that police won't even be able to do anything about it, and they'll just have to legalize it. Obama needs to take this on, and bring it to congress to legalize.
