lose weight, john.

JOHN WHO??

And another thing,

ive certainly never heard of you, yet most people have heard of kate winslet and ricky gervais

so i'd keep quiet if i were you.... they have many many many more fans than you do mate, so you'll lose every time!

LOOOOSERRRRR

John, what is the point of anything that you've written above?

Seriously, if you were originally trying to be amusing you FAILED MAJORLY.

Your first article was probably the most pointless thing anyones ever written, hows about writing about something vaguely interesting? Both Ricky Gervais and Kate Winslet are enjoying success.... are you JEALOUS John????

You tried the whole 'witty observation' thing and it backfired, sadly. In fact, you were so unfunny that thats why people thought you were being serious.

Oh dear. I feel sorry for you!

Ricky is Great

John, your a douche bag

Huge fan of Ricky Gervais

BUT... I got this guys article right off (you don't have to be a Brit OR an American to get humor people)! As for his comment of "great impression of Steve Carrell", it was HUMOROUS!! Jeeze - maybe some people don't understand brilliant comedy thus taking Extras too seriously and obviously John Farrell's work too literally! If you don't get intelligent humor - then John Farrell AND Ricky Gervais ARE NOT FOR YOU!

Irony + yanks = disaster

Hey John,

Never read your stuff before found you from a link on rickygervais.com. I like the cut of your gib, but I would point out that you seem to be the one missing the joke, as Ricky himself has now pointed out on his site in the note which linked me here. I would also point out, using the above comments as exhibits, that you should know better than to simultaneously exist in the USA, and have a sense of irony. It's all just too hard for most of your fellow citizens. Though it probably plays well to post readers and New Englanders. As an Aussie though, it's music to my ears.

This guy is the dumbest writer ever,

If you're gonna write about actors, movies, or TV shows. You should probably at least know what you're talking about.

Imitation?

"he does a great Steve Carrell imitation in the British version of The Office." Surely that was a bad attempt at a back slap or you simply have no taste, either or, stick to politics.

"I confess I have not seen The Reader, but I'm sure she's great. She was terrific as Galadriel, and in those Queen Elizabeth movies." Again, jokes or incomptence?

Hellloooo! Irony!? People!!!???

And I thought American audiences don't understand irony! Please, people, these articles must be taken with a grain of salt, because the humor is bland and stupid!

Are you an idiot????

Steve Carrell imitation in the british version of The Office??????????

You do know that The Office is Ricky Gervais and Steve Merchant's brainchild right??

Someone has to protect people like you from themselves

Idiot
