Which game were you watching? The game was still in reach. Score and win, or try to be pretty, pass to a player in defensive coverage and risk losing?

Yeah, that's greedy. It was a team play. Please take the time to know what you're writing about, before doing so. This entire article is rubbish, you can just look at Ovechkins SECOND BEST 24 assists on the team trailing only Backstrom. Yeah, that's greedy.

...... Moron.

Do somre more research, Aloysious

DC United. Look up the team that has brought more hardware to DC in the last 12 years than all the other professional teams combined.

Terrible

John Farrell, do you even watch hockey?

You just wanted attention from Ted..didn't you ??

watch it 500 times, it'll make your article wrong 500 times

I'm a huge Caps fan. A HUGE ONE since year one. My only question: how in the world did this junk piece of an article ever get past editors... were they on vacation?

Ovechkin not passing

There was clearly a Leaf player right there. If David Steckel had taken the shot, it would've been a smart play, but since it was Ovechkin, you think it's greed. FAIL!

Washington Drought

It's not that bad of a drought, as I clearly remember the Redskins winning the Super Bowl in 1992. Now granted that was 18 years ago, but its not the 30 years that this guy is stating.

As far as the Caps go, I'm fine with Ovie taking the wide open shot. He's a goal scorer, that's what he gets paid his millions and millions to do. And NOONE can say that he's a bad teammate, as he is one of the team's biggest cheerleaders and is willing to give up his body for the good of the team at all times.

on the Ovy non pass

Whatever!, take another look at the replay

Bruce- be honest

No one cares about lacrosse.

Stirring the pot

Just another author trying to stir the pot and garner attention for themselves off of Ovechkin's coat tails.

Ovechkin made the right play for the TEAM.
