The Bull and Bias of the Press

Campbell Brown is married to Dan Senor, who served as both the chief spokesperson for the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq (under George Bush), and as an adviser to former US Senator (and Energy Secretary under George Bush), Spencer Abraham (R-MI). Given her marriage, how are we to believe that she can extricate herself from Republican bias in her role as a reporter?

The American people need an honest press, held up to a system of accountability and transparency. Otherwise, what we get is the type of reporting (or non-reporting) that is all Bull and Bias.

Campbell Brown and CNN Get Tiresome On Barack Obama and Media Criticism

Campbell. Lighten up.

Brown's Berating of Obama

I knew Peter Baker when he was a cub reporter for a county paper. Now he is a major reporter for the paper of record. But his question to Obama was silly, and Obama was right to laugh it off. No one expects campaign criticisms of a rival to be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. And everyone expects differences between before and after to be forgotten.

Indeed, it appears that, to the amazement off most talking heads, Hilary and Barack get along just fine. They did before the campaign and now after it. My sense is that they both learned, despite their campaign contention, to respect each other. Perhaps, at this point, they even like each other. But, then, journalism is not the best major for understanding nuances. Case in point, our most famous journalism major, Sarah Palin.

Campbell Brown, whose program I had found to be an interesting diversion, suddenly swerved into all bull all the time on this one. She knows as much as Baker (I hope), so she disserved herself by trying to be serious about something silly--which made her appear puffed up with pontifical self-importance

Is this the real Campbell Brown?

Campaign vs Job

Now that Obama is the President-elect he has the responsibility to surround himself with those he thinks will be suitable for his administration. Of course Obama and Hillary Clinton don't agree on everything as noted in their campaigns and debates, but obviously he feels confident enough that she is the best fit in his administration for the Sec. of State. position.

However, one has to remember...

Campbell Brown didn't exactly have the latitude, nor the program, for the "no bias no bull" tactic in 2003.

Also, since the experience Obama dismissed in the primaries is kind of the experience being used to justify Clinton's nomination now, it's a fair point to ponder. Whether reporters should play gotcha with it now, though, is quite another matter.

OBAMA the leader

Now like Mordecai of the Bible who rose from the gate of the king's palace to the place of the governer, so is Obama in his position in the oval office as US president. Americans has no right to blame or criticise man who win the votes hearts of American.

Obama da prezzo

He is an icon of peace, unity and equality to the whole world. he is more the opposite of what his criticisers would think of him. Who but only GOD can elevate one to such a highly prominent office , and why if not for HIS own purpose.

I called my husband I bad name two months ago--no I didn't mean it.

Campbell Brown apparently has decided that we should spend our time in this economic crisis rehashing old feuds.

That is so high school. Yeah, Nikki and Sasha hated each other's guts when Nikki was dating Sasha's old boyfriend. But now they are over it because they both have new boyfriends. Only Sasha's old boyfriend is jealous of Sasha's new boyfriend and goes up and asks Nikki if she really meant all those things she said about Sasha when they still hated each other.

And Nikki tell's Sasha's old boyfriend: "I'm, like, so over it. So quit talking smack about me, okay?"

CNN and Campbell Brown

Right on the money Aloysius!!

Those were exactly my thoughts as I watched Brown lambasting Obama for speaking of Clinton as he did in the Campaign before making her Sec of State. You'd think he was the first pol to speak ill of his rival in a political campaign. I guess if Clinton had prevailed and offered the VP spot to Obama, after making fun of his eloquence during the campaign, Brown would be asking her similar questions.......Get over it Campbell, the people understand its how we do politics!!
