McCain - Palin ticket
After the debate my 22 year old daughter asked me if this is real. She was referring to Sarah Palin. I told her I dont know. The America I know in my student days in early 1970s was different.
I suppose only in America, Palin stand a chance of becoming the president of the country. If ever that happens surely it is a joke ..except that America is the significant player in the world that we now know.If ever that happens what have we done to deserve this.

As a 72 year old woman I am appaled that Palin was chosen by MdCain..but I guess it was really the right wing heirarchy and not McCain who actually selected her...this group has been detroying out country for many years now, beginning with Prescott Bush. ..I remember the black listing of many of the Hollywood wrtiters in the early 50'd, I remember the IranContra and I remember Ollie North putting on he old Marine uniform to testify in congress...he was found guilty but was also given a lucrative job on the radio....the "elite" media is totally controlled by the right wing. The "elite" media has been effective in really frightening the people of our country..not reporting about voter fraud but writing half truth articles about Obama...I listend to CNN this morning and was amazed at many of the people calling hystrically to state that Obama was a terrorist who wants to destroy our country. Planin had 3 speaking engagements in the last day at at each rally she reported that Obama was a home grown terroist....Palin herself is souless...she is being investigated for malfesience as governor, she had refused supeonas...where is the reporting from the "elite" press about her problems..When I think of Palin I am reminded of a truism.."If you can't dazzle them with brillance the dazzle them with bullshit!!!"

So, here we go again.
There was so obviously a double standard at the debate. Sarah Palin was allowed to attack Joe Biden personally knowing full well that he would be called out as a bully if he did it to her. Also, she was allowed to not answer questions and even brag about it.
I know she's only been at this five weeks but isn't that the point.
I still haven't heard anything about her saying on Thursday night that she agreed with an Al Queada leader. At first, I didn't know whether I had actually heard it but my daughter immediately (when I turned around and said "Did she just say she agreed with a leader of Al Queada?") agreed that Palin had actually done so. This was in regard to Iraq being the front on the war on terrorism. Does it occur to anyone but me that Al Queada might just want us to believe Iraq is that front so that they can be somewhere else hatching their evil? So, why not keep the dummies (us) fighting in Iraq by telling them, Oh yeah, that's where the war on terrorism is.
So sad, Palin is. She is a terrible loss for women any way you cut it - we will have to work even that much harder to be taken seriously after her performances. Can you imagine a woman at work acting the way Palin did on Thursday with her "gee whiz" , "darn it Joe" , cutsie-pootsie beauty queen ways and winks? Women in the workforce are expected to act soberly and seriously. Palin is not that kind of woman. She should not be taken seriously and she may very well set back those of us who want to be taken seriously in our jobs.

Yes, indeed. Both Palin and McCain say one thing and, then, when called upon it, assert that they meant something else. The most noticeable example being McCain saying "that the fundamentals of the economy are strong". Later, when, of course, it was proved that there were great problems, he said "I meant to say that the American workers are the best in the world". Excuse me!
Did you ever do this in school after a test - go up to the teacher and say you should change my grade because I really meant to say this other thing? How far did that get you? A teacher knows that you said what you meant the first time.
How about future questions to Palin and McCain begin with asking them to please say what they really mean the first time? Maybe then they will not be able to backtrack and say they actually meant something else.

Let me tell you the truth that women used their sex appeal for
finantial reasons, to survive in a men's world.
I thought that after so much work women's in the work place did
to use sex appeal was gone.
And when I watch this woman running for one of the highest public offices of America I can not believe my eyes!
If she repeats the talking points that she is given or not it does not matter to me.
What it matters is that in the VP debate she was rude and did not show manners when she said something like she was not going to answer the questions.
Although she showed she is not even ready to work as an executive in an international company, she lucks diplomacy and good manners.
What type of language she uses? Does American English go so low?
I am really surprised that McCain in order to get to the Presidency because he is old and does not have many other opportunities, does not use sound judgment.

I want to vote. I want to vote for the United States of America. But what is that anymore? We don't live in a democracy anymore. When the middle class is demoted to the poor, and the richer get richer.....and the poor and undeducated??? I feel disallusioned. My personal opinion is that given the choices we have...is there a choice? Not really. It comes down to the best of two evils. I don't like any of them. They lie, they promise all kinds of wonderful antecdotes, but we as the common public, and the mass of population out here know, that it aint't going to happen. It's all about who has the money to get into office. It's all about power. It's all about greed. And we, the middle class, pay the ticket for more corrupt government, more deficit, more garbage. I really don't know what I'm going to do. REVOLUTION ANYONE? Our government needs to be cleaned out so bad, it's so beyond repair that I hardly know what to say about any of the debates I watch and isten to. I love this country, it's still the best place to live in. But I think our greatness is going down the tube. And fast. GREED is killing this great nation. Would I love to make a difference? Would I love to really feel good about casting my vote? YES. Unfortunately it's not there.

You say Biden's facts were wrong, well Palin got a number of facts wrong too.
If you did you a percentage of wrong facts then Biden probably has a much lower percentage, purely because he actually mentioned many more facts than Palin.
As for proper debating, well Palin should have either been disqualified or forced to give an answer to the question posed, rather than simply ignoring the question and talking about a subject she felt comfortable with, Alaska and its oil, something she spent almost the first half hour abouta and little else.
On that basis alone Biden won over Palin hands down.
