Brian of Michigan

Ahhhh....where is McCain's judgement when he selects a nut brain such as Palin as the vice presidential candidate? That alone is a blaring indictment of McCain's lack of good judgement. That he would offer the American people such a weak candidate and think that is fine is deplorable. With regards to the presidential debate, what is going on with McLame? Is he incapable of multitasking? Is he filibustering so that Palin has more time to prepare? He'd better not even try to say that he was instrumental in getting the bailout to move forward. Neither he nor Obama can make that claim as a matter of fact. McCain is on the defensive now, he is losing his mojo. The love affair with Palin is moving closer to its end with every incoherent sentence she mutters.

Here is a great resource about Sarah Palin - the most comprehensive page of information on her record and policies available on the Internet ... including videos of her saying her proposed $30 billion pipeline is the “will of God,” her saying a month ago she doesn’t know what the vice-president does, and her complaining four months ago that Hillary Clinton was whining about “sexist” media coverage -

It has in-depth research, audio clips, videos, and links to hundreds of articles, including many from newspapers and TV stations in Alaska. It has rare footage, including her telling the ‘08 convention of the Alaska Independence Party, whose aim is to give Alaska a vote on seceding from the U.S., to “keep up the good work.”

The level of research is tremendous. The site’s editors and volunteers include an Emmy-award winning CNN reporter, the former operating editor of the Christian Science Monitor’s web site, the former head of NPRs News Blog and the Executive Director of the Online News Association -

Please tell anyone about this who might want to know more.

Barack 'Pollyanna' Obama Versus Sarahcuda Palin

I much prefer Sarahcuda to Barrycuda --- veracity according to Aloysius is more fleeting when dealing with the Barry.....

Public Servants

First, hats off to John and his point on Gray Matter.

It appears most of our politicians, the bulk of the media, and our dim bulbs from Hollywood do not understand We the People are tired of the slander, lies, and denigration.

John articulated very well one of the things we hunger for. The other is to have public servants who have a servant's heart instead of an over abundant supply of hot air. We need solutions not debates, arguments, or over indulgent investigations (fishing expeditions actually).

For a party that demands Tolerance, the Democrats are sure in a short supply of it.

I agree

The Republicans are pathological liars because they know lying works. After the Bush folks perfected the art of lying to sell the Iraq War, the McCain team has simply adopted lying to make a point. Their writing scripts regard truth as sometimes convenient, but non-essential.

I do agree that Obama and the entire Democratic party need to call Palin and McCain on their lies and distortions of fact. Call them on it 24/7.

As for McCain and his honor, his conduct of this campaign proves he has little. He's a sell out and he allowed himself to be completely compromised for the support of fundamentalists and evangelicals. And he embraced the same team that Swift Boated him in the past.

It's now time to get the candidates talking about the issues that are affecting our lives.

Obama didn't stop the bridge either!!!!!!

Also, Obama and 81 other senators opposed an amendment in 2005 to strike the infamous $231 million “Bridge to Nowhere” earmark for Alaska and redirect that funding to help with rebuilding New Orleans.

The Senate rarely backs efforts to strike another member’s pet projects.

Yep,

Let's all remember that Barrack became a Senator after all the challengers caved. He has spent much of his "Senate" career campaigning. As others have noted, he wrote 2 memoirs but no legislation.....go Barack

That good ole reformer Baroque Obama certainly did his part to block the bridge.....NOT!

And I'd sleep a lot better knowing that Barrack and Biden both dissed the surge.....

Facts are facts, we have "equal" tickets: one new comer with little experience and one old timer. My vote will be for McCain......at least with that ticket the newcomer will have some experience before playing the game for real.

John McCain

I am sorry that John McCain had to endure the cruel treatment in Vietnam, but what I do not like is the fact that he is using that as a leverage to gain votes. When Fred Dalton Thompsom spoke at the Republican Convention, he stated that Mr.McCain could not raise his arms above his head nor sulute the flag. Well, consider the fact that there are many of men and women who manage to return home at all have NO ARMS to raise nor legs to walk. On top of this fact, many veterans of the Gulf War are treated very poorly and denied benefits that have been promised. John McCain has voted against an improved GI BILL.

I don't know what McCain's people are saying.

But Palin's key speech didn't say sold on eBay.

Sarah Palin RNC Convention Speech

"That luxury jet was over the top. I put it on eBay."

JOHN MCCAIN SAID THIS THE NEXT DAY AFTER MS. PALINS'S SPEECH

"SHE SOLD IT ON E-BAY!.....FOR A PROFIT!" (and he heard her speech just the night before)

Don't forget now, HE'S the Presidential Candidate, not her.

Brian from Michigan and his facts

Well Brian of Michigan, you put out some heavy statements. You obviously must have forgotten the facts to back them up right?

You DO have them right?

Oh that's right, I'm sorry, I forgot that you said you are a Republican, and are exempt from those minor details.

After all who needs facts when you're Presidential Candidate has a pretty skirt to hide behind now.

You know Brian the week before the RNC Convention the DNC had their Convention, with more speeches than we heard from the RNC. Each DNC speaker had given numerous facts during their speeches.

Why do you think that we haven't heard any of the accusations like the ones that Mr. FArrell is making about the RNC?

Oh, that's right, it's because US News & World Report is now part of the infamous Liberal Mainstream Media, right?

Next time try to back up your facts Brian, or go crawl back under your rock and leave the rest of us alone!

-Joe from North Carolina (and I'll bet you that most Americans would approve of this message)

The Lies of the Bridge to Nowhere

With all this talk about Sarah Palin's claims of being against the Bridge to Nowhere (Ketchikan to Gravina Island), let's find out what Alaskan's are saying about this infamous example of goverment pork-barrel spending.

"People are learning that she pandered to us by saying, I'm for this' ... and then when she found it was politically advantageous for her nationally, abruptly she starts using the very term that she said was insulting,"

-- Ketchikan Mayor, Bob Weinstein (D)

"You don't tell a group of Alaskans you support something and then go to someplace else and say you oppose it,"

-- Former State House Speaker, Gail Phillips (R)

Does this sounds like someone telling the truth to you? Hmmm!
