The Coming Obama Alliance With Religious Conservatives

Expectations that the Obama administration will find common ground with some prominent religious conservatives over reducing demand for abortion have fizzled somewhat, as the religious right has alleged that Obama-led healthcare reform includes an abortion mandate and taxpayer-funded abortion coverage.

But the best opportunity for Obama to find common cause with abortion foes was never on the abortion issue anyway. It's on comprehensive immigration reform, which would include a path to citizenship for many illegals already in the United States. Check out the witnesses appearing tomorrow on a Senate subcommittee hearing on faith-based perspectives on immigration reform:

His Eminence Theodore E. McCarrick
Cardinal Archbishop Emeritus
Diocese of Washington

The Reverend Samuel Rodriguez
President
National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference

Michael Gerson
Senior Research Fellow
Institute for Global Engagement
Center on Faith and International Affairs

Leith Anderson
President
National Association of Evangelicals

How many of these prominent religious conservatives will get behind Obama's eventual "common ground plan" on abortion? One or two, maybe, though it's easy to imagine none of them lending an endorsement.

And none may end up supporting the Democrats' healthcare bill.

But it's plausible that all would support the president and his party's attempt to pass comprehensive immigration reform. Considering the outcry from social conservatives on healthcare reform, that's quite an opportunity.

Love does not Destroy Life:

Love does not Destroy Life:

The Truth is that we all know that Abortion is not health care. It is a slaughter of 3200 unborn babies a DAY, 96,000 a MONTH, 1.2 Million a year, and more than 45 Million in 36 years in America.

This is a slaughter of the least of our people (poorest, weakest, most dependant, and least of our people).

Say NO to the free slaughter without a chance to respect and protect the lives of both the mother and the child.

Respect Life.

Protect Life.

Protect Love.

Love Life.

God Bless All of You who are Fighting the Good Fight.

Hand-UPs and Give-Backs:

The Church never told the government to make people dependent upon the government.

The government could do more good by reducing the Hand-OUTs and improving the Hand-UPs.

Hand-OUTs make people dependent upon the government every month. Hand-OUTs are a continuous drains on the tax base. Hand-OUTs make the nation weak.

Hand-UPs help strengthen people to grow skills and allow them to get back up from a bad situation. Hand-UPs help people to be indepent and able to give back. Hand-UPs help reduce the need for a tax base. Hand-UPs strengthen the nation.

Give-Backs also allow those that receive to give back to help other or to produce for what they receive.

Hand-ups and Give-Backs are strengthen our people and our nation.

The Truth is the government should not make people dependent. We should help people by helping to develop their skills to stremgthen them and our nation.

The Truth is that the Church encourages Hand-UPs!

Seek, Speak, Share, and Defend the Truth.

The Truth will set Us Free!

Jesus came to testify to the Truth.

Love God and Love Your Neighbor.

Love Life.

What Happened to Truth?

Once truth is compromised, the Lie takes hold.

That is what happened during the election. Good-intentioned people who have compromised the Truth in favor of social/political/economic/environmental objectives all under the banner of "the government is here to help."

The Church abdicated its role to the government. With more frequent statements by "christian leaders" that the government needs to do something to fix the ills wrought by the churchs' lack of attention only demonstrates that they have bought the Lie.
