EQUALITY
If I can't get marriaged as a gay man, I certainly WON'T support heterosexual marriage. If a straight guy hits on me (and they do), I'll no longer turn them down. Treat me like a second class citizen and i will act like one!!
Romney? blech!
Mr Warren, you sound like someone paid to say those things. I (and everyone I know) think Romney is a divisive, intolerant, plutocratic, know-it-all loudmouth who has already had too much time in American politics. I would never vote for that sorry excuse of a man. I watched him in the '08 debates. He is almost as scary as Sarah Palin.
What?
Mr. Warren, copying and pasting that same Romney message on every blog possible no matter how unrelated is not helping your cause.
In fact, please readers: vote for anyone else but Romney in retaliation for this dingbat blanketing the blogosphere with Romney Spam.
DOWN WITH ROMNEY!
Vote Mitt Romney 2012 for economic-ideological superiority
In 2012 we must vote for Governor Mitt Romney to become our President starting on January 20, 2013 , because of his superior economic intelligence and conservative right wing philosophy . First Governor Mitt Romney is economically smarter than Barak Obama. Secondly Governor Mitt Romney's superior rightwing conservative philosophy is shown in that he is pro God and Christianity, pro life, pro marriage; pro guns-second amendment, pro low taxes, pro low government spending; pro small government, pro unintrusive government, pro traditional and Judeo Christian values; pro Bible reading and prayer in our public schools, pro Christians schools and private education , pro private and free enterprise; pro military spending, anti arms agreements with Russia, pro creation; pro nuclear, pro conservative supreme court judges, pro American sovereignty; pro capitalism, anti communist, anti socialist; conservative on immigration, and pro constitution. Barack Obama is of the inferior liberal and left wing ideology in that he is against every thing that Governor Mitt Romney is for and Barack Obama is for every thing that Governors Mitt Romney is against

Mistaken Marc
To Marc Zimmerstien of ID: Marc, you are being too simplistic. Not all heterosexual people are homophobes, and we gay folk know that. So why would we be called 'heterophobes'?
I love straight people! Most of my friends are straight. Not to mention most of my family. I don't have a problem with straight people. I have a problem with anyone who wants to, for any reason, deny gay Americans 100% equality under the law. For some strainge reason, the ones that doo all seem to be straight.
In answer to your question, the reason we want marriage equality is simple: the constitution guarantees us equality under the law. Gay people fall in love and have families. For straight people, if they buy a marriage license over 1,000 federal rights, protections, and privileges are automatically bestowed upon them. Not to mention the state ones.
Currently, gay couples/families don't have access. That is unfair and unconstitutional.
So despite your hysterics, gays are not out to get you. Calm down.
GayMarriage?
What? Gays want to get married? Haven't they suffered enough already?
Gays not "godless" "Christian bashers"
You may find it hard to believe but i honestly don't wake up and say, "Gee what else can i take away from the religious freaks". I too, consider myself to be religious. I have a very difficult time explaining this with someone who see's homosexuality as a sin. You know the same person who nitpicks at the bible, to try and justify anything they would like to believe. Although they love to ignore all the other "sins" that afflict the heteros. Is having a divorce not a state sanctified event?
Marriage was not always a "religious" act. It is not even a "natural" act.
I don't believe Jesus hates homosexuality. He actually liked to hang-out with the "degenerates" of society. The bible was created by man, for man, and interpreted by man.
Love the person but hate the sin, is a contradiction if you think about it. If homosexuality is a sin and that its a big part of you how can you truly be loved if you can't even love yourself. To make it easier for those who fear the gays, replace homosexuality with heterosexuality and you get the idea.
Here read the article yourself.

Homophobes
Isn't that predictable. It's down to referring to us as homophobes because we oppose your gay marriage "rights".
How about this you bunch of heterophobes, you are all clambering to get the right to do something that was created by so called homophobes and religious freaks. Why? If you truly despise religion as some of you claim then why push so hard to be joined to someone in a ceremony created by religion?
Answer: Because you see it as a way to teach the religious some kind of lesson that what they hold sacred can be made a mockery of. Claiming Jesus would be accepting of you is another example of this. You could care less about Jesus other than to use him as a pawn in your games. If you truly knew him he never condoned any sinful act, homosexuality included, he did preach to love all as your neighbor. This means that while he loves gay people he clearly did not and would not condone homosexuality.
The desperate flailings of homophobes
Morena of NY writes "For those who don't think about the impact of law, try reading 10 Ways Marriage Law Hurts Heterosexuals and Their Families: http://tinyurl.com/qs7vfy"
Well, being a nice, obedient pagan, I went over to the site and took a gander. And, as more than one responder on the site pointed out, widely publicizing that list would be a real boon to same-sex marriage. If that's the best you 'phobes can do, then we've won.
To cite one pathetic example: "Same-sex marriage law doesn’t stipulate that adult partners must stay together for any duration of time and therefore places spouses and children at grave economic risk of destitution should one partner grow bored and seek to exit the agreement."
And, um, hetero marriage laws stipulate that partners must stay together for a specified period of time? Gee, I must have missed that, Morena. Can you please cite those laws?
Another "reason": "Same sex marriage law creates injustice in adoption services, for it institutionalizes gender discrimination..." Huh? HUH?
I mean, the whole thing is so illogical, half-baked and W-E-A-K that it's one of the best arguments IN FAVOR OF gay marriage that I've seen. Congrats!
