Reason for israel's Existance

As we say in Yiddish "gut gezuct".Too many people ,jews included, forget that we originated in what is now Israel and think that Israel is only a a refuge from persecution.Since the dispersion the Torah has been our portable motherland.

We were forceably driven from our native land and until recently lacked the means to return. We kept our Hebrew language, our holidays and intramarriage has maintained our identity.

Obama should take steps to correct his misstatements.

Ok, you're really loony... You really don't know what's going on and think this is a religious feud... It's not anymore, it all has to do with the big green $$$$

Obama speaks his faith - it ain't Christianity???

Israel has every right to exist, and has existed throughout time itself. We, as Americans will only be blessed by God as a Nation if we support and defend Israel. If any of you actually travel to Israel, you will know there are many Palestinians who are quite happy living in Israel, and who work in various companies, and are not feeling oppressed due to their religion. Is Obama a Christian? Not my call, but at this point, the only thing we can do as a Nation under God is to pray for him, pray for our enemies to have a change of heart, and if need be, we should defend our interests, which include Israel till our earthly death. To not do this ensures our path to damnation as a country, and idea, and as a world power. The American people knowingly voted in a traitor to our ideals, who's policies are counter to what this country was built upon; only to wake up to the bedrock of 1930's Germany...may God forgive us for this abomination known as Barrack Hussein Obama.

To William and Franklin

I think both of you are correct... You both have valid points. See, we are "meddling" in the Middle East as you put it William because of both OIL and ISRAEL. We want to constantly weaken Israel's neighbors that can pose a threat, such as Iraq, Iran, Egypt, Syria, etc. But at the same time, we are fulfilling BIG OIL profits. Profits that you nor I will ever see. America is a hired gun right now. A MERCENARY WARRIOR that's in it for the profit and not the ethics, morals, or for the good of freedom as it usually indicates prior to placing siege on a OIL rich lands. BIG OIL and ISRAEL have the largest lobbying groups in all of the US and our Politicians who are suppossed to make decisions for the good of the American public are not and instead are fulfilling obligations to these two Lobbying forces (along with other powerhouse lobbying forces such as the Insurance Industry). And in some way Franklin is correct. Due to our involvement in the Middle East and staunch support of Israel and our inability to say "no Israel, don't invade the Palestinian settements becasuse it's their's by a UN mandate," that has put us in a vulnerable place. Because now the Middle Eastern countries along with Europe and the rest of the world sees us as aiding an agressor... Hopefully Obama can deliver the peace that he is so far pushing for... Let's see if Netanyahu bends... So far it doesn't seem he wants to bend a whole lot.

Ahmadinejad was here

I'm not jewish nor do I have any family or business ties with Israel, but after reading "Nonsense" posted by franklyn of NY,it is really hard to ignore his bias and ill-conceived opinion of this subject. He basically blames all human catastrophes, including 9/11 on Israel or due to our support for the israeli state. His selective memory fails to take into consideration that america's support for israel was not even Al Qaeda's top grievance against the U.S. Even if Israel did not exist,we would still be heavily involved in the Middle East, politically and militarily in order to protect our interests in the oil business. America's involvement in the Middle East preceedes the birth of Israel, and if we bring the Europeans into the mix,we'll see that the West has been meddling there for centuries. It's ironic that "Franklyn of NY" entitled his post "Nonsense",because that's what he said from the first line to the last.

nonsense

its not complicated, end the occupation and well have peace, everything else is a waste of americas time, these animals who burn the new testament in ceromonies and kill innocent muslim and christian children are not worth one american life or one american dollar. think about all the strife and death in the world israel/jews have caused, supporting them caused 9/11,jewish journalists pushed america into war with iraq, and are now pushing america into war with iran,no country spies on america more than israel, they supplied weapons to soviet georgia, and darfur, they were just caught trying to cause a coup in lebanon through their spy network, ect ect ect

Jews vs. Native Americans

stsimons you brough up an interesting point. I'm not too knowledgable into the aspect of Native Americans and their current land, but don't they have sovereignty on the reservations land they are currently holding? I do agree that the Native Americans were exterminated and exhiled throughout US History, something that really isn't mentioned in our K-12 History books (I would know because I've taught US History for many years).

Native Americans (reply)

Their claim is no different from that of the Jews. And Native Americans arent forced onto reservations. Its self imposed. They can move off the reservations and live out here like the rest of us if they choose.

Native Americans

I dont see the need for a Native American State... Their claim is no different from the Jews. Also I dont understand what you mean by "leave them on their refugee camps" They're more then welcome to live outside a reservation like the rest of us... Its not like were forcing them to stay there. Its self imposed...
