Atheist?

Ever wonder why Atheist's always seem so angry? Maybe something is missing? May God bless you.

auradawnveirs...really?

"There's an odd rite of swallowing wine and a cracker, (drinking blood and eating flesh) and then they're digested and sent to the "lowest, most avoided place," the sewer. Before ingestion, the host (body of Christ) is very carefully cared for. What finally happens to it makes me wonder whether the originator of communion gave it any forethought."

YEAH, auradawnveirs, Jesus was the first one to "think up" communion. I'm pretty sure JESUS, of all people, knew what he was doing.

Also, if you haven't noticed, the economy is in a slump. Inflation means things cost more. Churches have to buy things more expensive just like everyone else. And, churches have to buy very high quality things. I don't know if you knew this....but the bigger the diamond the more it costs. When you buy things that are made with gold, and high quality wood....they tend to cost more.

Besides, churches aren't the only tax-exempt "business" out there. Research things before you sound like a clueless bimbo.

A relationship - Not a "religion".

Gingrich is a sell out.

Just like Ted he is looking for redemption of a life that was so sinful.....and there's nothing wrong with that except that he's looking in the wrong place.

Turn to Jesus of the Bible and not formality, superstition and another priesthood. Read the article, do you think Christ was surrounded by luxuries and died in such a way? Look at the richest entity on Earth and ask yourself "Did Jesus lives this way" or even have a place to lay his head?

Luke 9:58: And Jesus said to him, "The foxes have holes and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head."

Seems Newt's latest wife is a good Catholic girl and this was part of the deal.

Money-making Motives of Religious Rites

Why are "costs of worship" so high, and increasing all the time? Why must believers buy a candle when they approach the altar to pray? Why must oil be used to

"anoint" people and objects? If "God" is a "spirit' without a nose, why is incense bought and burned to "send a sweet scent to God?" if we analyze religion like any other profit-seeking business, the answer is that Bible writers invented a system that CREATES SO MANY JOBS that employees will do almost anything to "keep God alive." See catalogs of church supplies. They're full of costly merchandise, ranging in price from toothpicks to elaborate altars. Crucifixes and menorahs come in various sizes and prices, as do prayer rugs, male millinery, etc. As an atheist, I resent the fact that churches can buy more of this stuff because they "save money on taxes." There's an odd rite of swallowing wine and a cracker, (drinking blood and eating flesh) and then they're digested and sent to the "lowest, most avoided place," the sewer. Before ingestion, the host (body of Christ) is very carefully cared for. What finally happens to it makes me wonder whether the originator of communion gave it any forethought.

Fakr Labor Union "Solidarity." (Catholic Walesa

Capitalist systems have always cheated labor by banning unions or using the scam that "bosses and workers are brothers under God," so there should be no labor unrest. Moral Re-Armament (MRA) took part in that wage-lowering attack on U.S. workers. At the same time, workers had to subsidize preachers because of religious tax exemptions, vouchers, released time, etc. Part of MRA was to have priests intervene in strikes, and move workers to the employer's side. Poland is a "Catholic nation," notorious for forcing poor people to have big families of cheap workers--because the government enforces church law banning abortion. (That was happening here until Roe v Wade in l973.) Walesa was asked to form a fake labor union, Solidarity. It got into docks and places where strikes destroy the distribution system and CAUSE SHORTAGES. It called strikes. The religiocapitalist conspiracy succeeded. Catholic crowds demonstrated against shortages and against

"the failed Communist system." it had been working well until the Church brought back the booms and busts of PURPOSELY UNPLANNED production. Mafiasi bought socialist-created businesses. Organized crime thrives, with "forgiven" vice..

Gingrich's documentary of Vatican's Cold War

Trillions of U.S tax revenue and many US lives helped implement the l00% capitalism of the Vatican City State. it's about the size of NY Central Park or Catholic Hitler's Warsaw Ghetto where he trapped Jews. To understand why Popes considered the USSR a threat, see its first Constitution. Until the Russian Revolution dethroned Catholic Czars, everyone had to pay a church tax to support the national faith, Catholicism. That changed. The government took back into its ownership most of the vast assets of the Church. Believers could use existing religious buildings, but they had to pay their priests and all costs of worship. Congregations actually put little value on their God because they kept their money and church attendance fell. Then they lied and said "the government closed churches." Instead of facing facts, some religious US lawmakers listened to the sob stories of the pope and began using US assets to aid the Vatican. The Catholic Reference Encyclopedia says the Church "vigorously defends against those political systems that seek to replace private with public ownership." Reagan said the pope guided his presidency, meaning he violated his oath of office-- to put the Constitution first. See 1980's "Statesmen's Yearbook."

Jena Lea blames Satan for sex crimes vs children

Jena blames Satan for tempting paid preachers to use children as orgasmic sperm dumpsters. But here is isaiah 7:45--"I form the light, and create darkness; make peace and, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things." JL says only a small per cent of priests ruined lives of children and their families. But for many years,

Freedom From Religion Foundation in Madison, WI has published two pages of clerical crime, in its paper, "Freethought Today." Crimes are committed by both genders, of many faiths. Those tithe-dependent church employees seek jobs that put them near children, who are taught to respect preachers and obey them. Scripture has many stories that invite exploitation by clerics. For example, how does a preacher explain what virginity means, when a child asks? "Well, my dear, suppose you let me demonstrate." Gingrich's conversion means he now pays his tithe to the Roman Catholic Church. If he tries for public office, he can probably expect subsidy and campaign work from the Church. It is fat with tax-exempt income, so he's all set.

See "Sceptics Annotated Bible"

Bible writers invented religion to start the enormous TEN PER CENT LIFETIME TITHE scam. It's $160,000 if a person pays forty years on a steady yearly income of $40,000. If the person pays for weddings, baptisms, confirmations, funerals and church school, that's a lot of church income. There is a word "God," but no God. Bible writers created terrible curses that are activated by civil government. Prop 8 is based on Lev. 18:22 saying "Homosexuality is an abomination to God." Lev.20:13 says homosexuals should be killed. Gays have been killed because the best-seller Bible exists. Tax-exempt churches put Prop 8 on the ballot and pushed for passage. All of us non-exempt taxpayers were forced to subsidize that unpatriotic, unAmerican attack on civil rights. One of the most helpful analyses of the Bible is "Sceptics Annotated Bible." "Thou shalt not kill'" is a major message of Scripture, but Bible writers describe time after time how mythic God kills people or has people kill people. As for "family values," Bible writers filled it with incest stories. Adam & Eve descendants had to commit incest, as did the Ark survivors. Lot incested both daughters while everything in Sodom was sent up in smoke by God.

Newt's Former Marriages

Mr. Desaulniers, according to his interview on Fox News, all canonical requirements have been met:

"WALLACE: You have — it’s no secret — been married and divorced twice. Will you be able to participate fully in communion and all the other rites of the Catholic Church?

"GINGRICH: Yes, we have done everything within the law of the church, following all of the rules of the church over the last 10 years. And it’s been a process. It’s been a very long process and something which was deeply affected, in part, by Pope Benedict XVI’s visit[.]"

My own jounrey back to orthodox Christianity and the Catholic Church (sans divorces and annulments) in many ways parallels Mr. Gingrich's. His reception in the Church is a great gain for our Faith. Any non-Catholics out their thinking of the same I recommend Bruce Sullivan's "Christ in His Fullness".

Newt and Catholicism

Newt may have converted to Catholicism, but he still has a lot to learn about christian charity and compassion. BTW: What's the status of Newt's former marriages, theologically speaking?
