What is wrong with what Obama did?

http://www.nytimes.com/2006/03/31/health/31pray.html

BAM. That's right. NYT article not too in depth, so I recommend looking at the actual study if you're interested or unconvinced.

I see no reason for the administration to waste their time on a pointless exercise. Praying doesn't change anything. However, working in the White House does, so that's where Obama's time should be spent. Quit bitching.

hello

this is absolutly ridiculous. there is no way in this world that i would ever pray in obamas name instead of praying in my father Jesus Christ;s name. GET IT STRAIGHT

Suprising

I cannot believe that he didn't make appearances for a National day that he himself supports . I don't understand how you can sign something like that the morning of and then say you're observing it alone . Our country needed our presidents support that day .

knocks

hey, here i am again. why is the headline: "..Prayer Task Force knocks Obama White House"? why isn't it written: "Obama knocks National Day of Prayer"? i've come to have a very serious distrust of "journalists" these days.

prayer day~pervert month

obama canceled the ONE day prayer event for the white house, but instigated ONE MONTH for pervert MONTH. june. what does that tell you? obama is like king saul, "head and shoulders above"....then poof. saul got into office, not because GOD thought he was the best deal, but because the people clammored for him. then saul, went poof.

Obama or God?

What is it with people worshiping Obama? It is true that God appoints our leaders, but from the Bible we learn that those whom he appointed didn't always follow Him. Yes, we do need to pray for every current leader and his staff, but we also need to keep a close eye on what he is doing and saying. What he approves of and what he doesn't approve of. Obama is just a man. He can and, undoubtedly, will make mistakes. Don't put him on a pedestal or you could cause him to fall big time. Every leader we have had has made mistakes and we have learned from most of them. It is the little things that can slip by and build into big problems. If you are a true child of God, you will stand up for EVERYTHING God stands for, not just the ones that our leader stands for. If Obama is a true child of God, he would not allow ANY ungodly things to pass by without speaking up. He may get knocked down sometimes, but at least he could try. God knows our hearts and we will be accountable for each action we take. Keep watch and make sure that you do not fall short. Pray for God to help you know what ANY leader is truly up to in every matter. As for the Day Of Prayer, it is a ONE DAY event that allows us as a UNITED nation to come together and show other nations that we put our trust in one God. When Bush began this event, it was a step forward, a victory for God. Obama not participating, and I'm not talking about a signature, was a step backwards. Which is a victory for Satan, not God......CHOOSE TODAY WHOM YOU WILL SERVE.

National Pray Day,

Come on people,Why do you need to set aside a certain day for prayer? If you know GOD then you should know that you can pray everday and GOD will hear you, He hears and sees everything that's why he put PRESIDENT OBAMA in office to run this country, GOD knew that we as people needed a change and try and get this country, back to where it is suppose to be. and I as a child of GOD know that President Obama was put into the White House not because of a day set aside for prayer,. . give our new President a break and pray everyday that GOD helpes President Obama, clean up the mess that he walked into. And watch and see everything is going to work out because GOD makes no mistakes. And pray everyday because in GOD's WORD he tell's us to pray all the time none stop.

God-centered or Obama-centered

I fear you may be right about that. It is hard to get behind Obama because of his obvious beliefs. I will continue to pray for him and our country. And may God help us all.

God-centered or Obama Centered

It sounds like this Obama interview tells it all

http://www.cbn.com/cbnnews/386118.aspx

* Obama defines how he will enter into heaven as "if I live my life as well as I can, that I will be rewarded"

* Obama defines sin as "Being out of alignment with my values"

* And, for Obama, sinning is "if I’m true to myself and my faith that that is its own reward, when I’m not true to it, it’s its own punishment."

I don't hear God in his answers. Obama's "religion" is "Obama" centered and not "God" centered.

definite political agenda - NOT

Rev. Marlene Yanik of OK,

Wow, "I feel that the folks involved with the NDOP have a definite political agenda -- an ultra-conservative approach." What a statement you've made against those involved with the HDOP - a statement which I strongly disagree with. I've listened to Shirley Dobson, Beth Moore, Tony Dungy. I'm absolutely shocked you would characterize their motives for arousing the nation to prayer as "a definite political agenda."

Sorry - I totally disagree.

[Happy (belated) Birthday]
