Video: Miss California's Most Revealing Interview Yet, With Her Pastor

The most revealing interview that Miss California, Carrie Prejean, has given so far about her Miss USA experience came yesterday, when she appeared at her church for an interview with her pastor during Sunday services. The Rock Church in San Diego has posted video of the interview, above, with the Rev. Miles McPherson, a nationally known evangelist.

Watch the interview to see how Prejean and McPherson develop a persecution narrative based on the role that Prejean's anti-gay-marriage answer at the Miss USA pageant apparently played in denying her the crown. McPherson invokes the Jewish Purim story about Queen Esther's heroic efforts to help save the Jews from a Persian plot to kill them by revealing her own Jewish identity. "This is exactly what happened to [Prejean]," McPherson says, using Miss California's ordeal as a call to arms for Christians to stand up for their beliefs.

What do you think—are Prejean's persecution claims legitimate? Her faith-based anti-gay-marriage beliefs certainly did appear to play a role in denying her the Miss USA crown. But gay rights activists would claim that it is gays and lesbians who have been persecuted for their sexual identity, facing discrimination and laws that prevent the state from recognizing their relationships. Are both camps right?

Fire Perez Instead!

A lot of folks are always saying they like to keep it real, that they want authenticity and straight talk. Yet when someone actually does it, there is hell to pay.(Roland S. Martin)

Since when does your constitutoional right of freedom of speech help a person get demoralized in front of the universe? Perez is Satan incarnate. He asked her a question, than received a response that "he didn't want to hear." Since then he has raged war against her. What if the tables were turned and she answered according to his opinion? My guess is that she would be wearing the crown!

Furthmore, if anyone should be dismissed it should be PEREZ!!!!!!!

miss cal

god works in a mysterous way like we alway know, and it takes the likes of pple like miss cal to prove it.

it is said that america is the morden day sodom and gomora, but i still doubt it , if not for her who make the world believe that there is one person in america who is found righteous in the aspct which sodom was destroyed by almighty god

it is high time that a spade is called a spadeand not garden tool. marriage is biblical and biblical meaning is union between a man and a woman, not a man and a man or a woman and a woman period

these gay people should find another name for there sinful, abominable and ungodly life
