Poll: 1 in 10 Believes Obama Is a Muslim

Given the White House's Muslim outreach offensive earlier this week, I was surprised that this new Pew poll that finds 1 in 10 Americans still believes President Obama is a Muslim didn't get more attention. The number is unchanged from the last month of the election campaign. Twice as many white evangelicals and 17 percent of Republicans believe Obama is Muslim. I suspect that many of these folks think Obama is straight-out lying about being Christian, since respondents were free to answer "I don't know" to the question on Obama's religion. Would be interesting to see poll numbers on that conspiracy theory.
