TOGETHER, TONY DUNGY AND COMMISSIONER ROGER GOODELL HAVE DEMEANED THE PROFESSIONAL ETHICS OF SPORT WITH THEIR SHORT-SIGHTED, NAIVE SUPPORT OF MICHAEL VICK. NOW, IT IS UP TO US TO DECIDE WHETHER WILL WE WILL SUPPORT THEIR POOR DECISION MAKING BY CONTINUING TO SUPPORT THIS DYSFUNCTIONAL SYSTEM [N.F.L.] THAT APPEARS TO SOMEHOW REWARD ABERRANT BEHAVIOR SUCH AS THAT PERPETRATED BY THE LIKES OF VICK.

I am very upset to see Mr. Dungy support Michael Vick following Vick's release from prison. I have been widowed for almost 10 years and have been raising a son who is now 14 on my own. I have never broken the law, I don't smoke or drink and nor do I date. My concentration is on my son and to support him in every way which includes keeping him on the straight and narrow and becoming a law abiding adult. I have been unemployed for 16 months and have struggled tremendously with my finances. I have been unable to keep up my house payments; I can't sell my house at this time because I am unable to purchase another one due to my late mortgage payments. I am desperately looking for work and cannot get the support I need to find employment. I was married to a Veteran and I, too, am a Veteran. I cannot find work nor can I attend college (the local community college without up front payment). I feel like I want to dig a hole and jump into it. I am sick and tired of seeing people who break the law come out of prison and get employment. I am not popular like Michael Vick so therefore I guess I'm destined to be thrown out to the wind. Is this America?
