By Dan Gilgoff, God & Country
I wrote last week about a new coalition of Christian leaders on the left and right working up federal policy proposals for alleviating domestic poverty, led by Sojourners' Jim Wallis on the left and former George W. Bush speechwriter Michael Gerson on the right. This week, the coalition—The Poverty Forum—released its recommendations at a National Press Club event. Check 'em out here.

Cynicism v. Informed Logic
Larry...you sound like so much fun!
Seriously, there are solid economic arguments for increasing global economic stability. I would think you would be aware of the lack of benefit for continued / increased polarization of rich and poor. We can't continue living at higher and higher levels without having to pay the piper, but we can make participation in the marketplace more accessible and consequentially increase economic security.
Has nothing to do with naivete.
