Can We Make Sure That They Pay For Their Own Treatment?

"enact a congressionally approved end to a ban on HIV-positive travelers from entering the U.S."

Ok, We can let them come in. But, we should not foot the bill for their treatment.

Want to come here? Fine. Bring money to invest in our economy. No free rides.

HRC does not speak for all LGBT peoples

I have only known 2 people among a very large group of LGBT people who were not behind Obama, ranging from a lot to 100%. Most of these people became hostile when any efforts were made within their vicinity, to share any of the available facts that might cause one to wonder what Obama's commitment was to gays.

Warren caused most of them to wonder if they had put their faith in Change that was meant for everyone but them.

Now many have doubts that he may be a closet homophobe.

The success of Prop. 8 and his lukewarm opposition, while he clearly stated he was opposed to gay marriage, will never be forgotten, as an egregarious flaw in someone who presents himself as a supporter of human and civil rights.

Great News.....disappointing

I think it is sad when a small group like the GLBT has influence. The majority of people are opposed to all of the ideals that the "Gay" lifestyle brings.

Homosexuality is an abomination to God and says so in the bible. I am disappointed that Obama chose an openly "Gay" minister. I don't think there is such a thing as a "Gay" minister. If he really believed and practiced in the bible, then he wouldn't be able to be "Gay".

Obama is an empty suit and will say anything to anyone to get them on his side. His downfall will be that he wants everyone to like him. He won't be able to please everyone as now a lot of people are embarrassed by him picking an openly "Gay" minister.

I don't have anything against "Gay" people, but don't push your agenda on me. I don't want to know about it and I don't want you getting special privileges just because you choose to forgo what nature intended as normal.

This was planned....

In four short weeks, HRC is singing a much different tune. And it ain't all 'cause of Gene Robinson. The transition team has clearly stepped up its LGBT outreach. Now let's see how many of those executive orders Obama delivers.

""""

Please, HRC and Team Obama are coordinating their media strategy...

This is great news!

I'm glad to hear that Human Rights Campaign President Joe Solmonese feels optimistic about the upcoming Obama Administration. I have a great deal of respect for the Human Rights Campaign and if they feel good about Obama's promise to work for gay equality, then so do I. Let's hope the next four years proves that our optimism was right.
