Media Coverage of Sanford Affairs--TMI

I don't know about you, but I can't take any more media coverage of South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford's increasingly chaotic and sorry life. This man is coming apart faster than a clunker car in a junkyard, and it's not pretty to watch.

I'm sure you've heard the acronym, TMI? Too much information. If I had the time (and I don't), I'd go down to South Carolina carrying a large sign sporting that acronym and parade around in front of Sanford's office.

Do we really need to know that he had multiple affairs over the years?

Sanford, in an interview with the AP on Tuesday, said he had more romantic meetings with his Argentinian lover, Maria Belen Chapur, than he previously admitted, including two trysts in New York. He also acknowledged that he had "crossed the lines" with a handful of other women during 20 years of marriage.

Do we need to know that his soon-to-be-ex-wife has no concern for his future career? For that matter, do we need to know anything ever again about this man? The only news I want to see about Sanford ever again is when he resigns office and crawls back into the hole from whence he emerged.
