Media Coverage of Sanford Affairs--TMI

July 01, 2009 05:04 PM ET | Bonnie Erbe | Permanent Link | Print

By Bonnie Erbe, Thomas Jefferson Street blog.

I don't know about you, but I can't take any more media coverage of South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford's increasingly chaotic and sorry life. This man is coming apart faster than a clunker car in a junkyard, and it's not pretty to watch.

I'm sure you've heard the acronym, TMI? Too much information. If I had the time (and I don't), I'd go down to South Carolina carrying a large sign sporting that acronym and parade around in front of Sanford's office.

Do we really need to know that he had multiple affairs over the years?

Sanford, in an interview with the AP on Tuesday, said he had more romantic meetings with his Argentinian lover, Maria Belen Chapur, than he previously admitted, including two trysts in New York. He also acknowledged that he had "crossed the lines" with a handful of other women during 20 years of marriage.

Do we need to know that his soon-to-be-ex-wife has no concern for his future career? For that matter, do we need to know anything ever again about this man? The only news I want to see about Sanford ever again is when he resigns office and crawls back into the hole from whence he emerged.

SANFORD AND SON.

SANFORD AND SONS.

By: Jordan C. Fan, Prophet of Environment.

Warning: Leave Mark Sanford alone or face the consequence.

"Sanford Affair Will Help Republicans in the South" I Said.

SANFORD NEEDS SONS.

LIKE THE TV SERIES, "SANFORD AND SON"

Like the TV Series, "Sanford and Son." Who can really blame him for wanting to have more sons to carry on his family name and tradition by increasing his offsprings. Therefore he needs to have sex with more women The important thing is not to wear condoms when he was having sex.

More than likely it was also a conspiracy staged by Barack Obama and his Democrats supporters especially Black to set him up using beautiful women similar to what they have done for other White politcal figures such as the former NY governor(s). Their purpose is to replace them with Blacks.

Who would not doubt that Obama has never committed adultery.

Sanford should be allowed to enjoy his life as usual without anymore interference. In fact Obama should share his wife with Sanford if he wants a hybrid "SON" like himself! How about also showing the marriage liscense of his parents.

Republicans, Mark Sanford and sons should thank me for this comment.

My First Time Reading USA Today

--- and I learn its columnists can't really write. You can't say "from whence"! Whence already MEANS "from where". Writers should take care -- if you don't know how to use an archaism, don't use it. Back into the "don't bother reading" bin, USAToday.

No, Bonnie, we're not done

When Sanford resigns, then we're done. Until then, the coverage goes on 24/7. Us Democrats are owed that much for enduring these self-righteous twits who call themselves Republicans.
