RE: Wow

Nikki of MO and Good Cause, the issue is not whether or not this is a worthy cause (and I agree that it is worthy). It is that we are abdicating control of our government and the expenditure of US Taxpayer dollars to people who have not been vetted or reviewed by Congress. The majority of the so-called czars are driven by questionable agendas and have questionable backgrounds.

Wow

I commend the appointment. I cannot believe there is such a negative blog on such a serious issue! I really have high hopes for this administration producing much need policies and activism for domestic violence. I applaud the administration for the steps they have taken including the appointment of a White House Domestic Violence Advisor. Biden was the founding father for the violence against women act so it makes complete sense that Obama would leave the announcement up to Biden. You should probably research these things before you make such an outlandish blog.

fire all of them

ALL U JERKS WHO VOTED for KING OBAMA YOU ARE GETTING YOUR JUST REWARDS NOWopen your eyes and see who he is putting in CHARGE of your life

Good Cause

Whatever your views on Obama, leave his appointment of someone to deal with sexual assault and domestic violence ALONE! The fact that a president is taking an interest in an issue that effects 1 in 4 women in commendable. I work in victim services and help these women on a daily basis. So, grip and moan and complain about whatever you want to about him, his policies, or his administration but please out of respect for the victims and those who die at the hand of their abusers ... GET OFFF HIS BACK when it comes to dv awareness! As a woman I would think you would be more sympathetic to this cause ... would you have still written this blog if he had appointed a czar for breast cancer research?!

Czar

The difference between Bush and Obama's czars though is that Obama's have more power. Usually czars are put into positions with limited power but Obama has been leaving them in charge of major issues and since they don't have to go through Congress for anything they pretty much have free reign. Which since they report to Obama that means that he has more power as well. The congress knows nothing about what these czars are doing and many of Congress have admitted that they are very concerned.

Hypocrites

Obama has less 'czars' than Bush did (Obama's 31 to Bush's 35), yet somehow this was never a problem during the Bush administration.

If we want to get rid of these positions, how about we start with the "Abstinence Czar", a ridiculous position created by Bush. Or even the Drug czar, a position created by Richard Nixon. The "War on Drugs" is an obvious failure, so lets just dissolve that position.

The noise about this issue coming now can only be seen as hypocritical, cynical political posturing. Instead of nonsensical attempts to harm our President, how about our elected leaders, the national media, and the electorate turn their attention to real issues that can actually *help* the American people.

czars

Obama almost has as much czars as Bush did so what

ONE MORE CZAR

HOW ABOUT A CZAR TO PROTECT MEN

FROM VIOLENT SPOUSE

When will it end?????

Republicans are being handed a clear victory with everything that is being shown in how this new "transparent" administration is acting, yet they are showing no backbone in exposing this leftist marxist agenda and attacking the issues. If Bush had appointed these same types of people, I can only imagine how the left titty babies would roast him right along with the media. It seems that they are leaving it to the guys like Beck and Rush to hit the issues. I say vote everyone out and start over fresh. One thins is for sure, it's transparent that Obama must have gotten more from his talk with Chavez than the fist bump and commie book.

When you get a community organizer in office, is it any wonder that whitey will be blamed (as well as Bush for everything, the Gates story is case in point), all his buddies/contributors will be highly rewarded, and our tax money goes to shift working ACORN and moveon.org activists to try and paint the finally NON silent majority as Nazi's, haters, Astroturfers and disgruntled white people.

Funnny, all the "minority" voters that I have spoken to have admitted they voted for him just on the basis he is black, ok, half n half, but somehow that doesn't make them recists? Most of the time they don't know his upbringing, his educational back ground, his Muslim ties/beliefs, or his track record in office. Oh, wait, that's right.... he's sealed EVERYTHING, which only people that hide their past do. Yes, that's right, I am a "birther" and a vet. Enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC...that is what I pledged. everything comes out in the wash and his dirty Chicago ways are coming out for everyone to see.

What about his CZAR when the Chrysler dealerships were closed and who he is married to? Look at the sales numbers GM vs Ford vs Chrysler and the 99% of those dealerships closed were Republican owned. What about Van Jones?

Abuse is a two way street Bonnie. Men and women can both be abusive, but funny how this article and society seem to only cater to the idea that men are the root of the problem. Mental abuse is just as bad as physical, and women sure have that market cornered, yet no media attention. Men are just supposed to deal with it and as someone else stated, men have no rights if "allegations" are made. Family/kids taken away, abuse from the state child support divisions, outdated family laws that cater to the "poor" women, for a man it's guilty until proven innocent it seems. How about the statistics of how the single dad movement has been gaining over the years due to family courts dealing with more deadbeat mothers? When you run a story like that, let me know.

Birds of a feather

Van Jones - self avowed communist

Carol Browner - Socialist International, a group for "global governance"

Bill Ayers - a bomber with the Weather Underground

Reverend Wright - "G_d d__n America"

John Holdren - proposed "compulsory sterilization" for population control

Obama - hmmmm
