A Peaceful Conclusion to Iran Election Results Does Not Seem Possible

Slogans

Don't bring a slogan to a gunfight. Most of the time, crackdowns like the one in Iran work.

For the mullahs, the bright side is that their discontented citizens are making themselves known, for arrest later on. At least some of the protesters were smart enough to cover their faces. Those that didn't will be tracked down by the regime and killed or imprisoned.

New world leader

America is winning !

You have your great leaders now we have ours. Divide and conquer is the American way.

For example North Korea – South Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan, and now Pakistan and many more examples to long to list !

Our Leaders have bamboozled our public and effectively censored our media (like with yours).

They have one message for you and one for us. We are proud of our President (The New world Leader), he is a very effective and crafty speaker.

As a Christian people we know that all races are sacred and that we should mind our own business, but many of our leaders have no real lasting commitment. Each word that is spoken is carefully planned to manipulate a certain audience.

If anyone thinks USA doesn’t have a hand in this -seriously reconsider-. He will force compromise on the “peace process”, and leave the Mid-East in turmoil as long as it serves our purposes.

The American war protesters are now silenced entirely and human rights have been forgotten, for that we are sorry. We are however proud of our Presidents and doubt you will break from their spell.

In America we say “yes we can” and abroad “we are doing it”.

My response to “Fallacy of Appeal to Pity: Iran Protests!” – it is better to receive reprimand from your brother than a kiss from the enemy. It would seem that your enemy’s want to break your power which was unity. Change is just a clever word, a hypnotic suggestion. (now we see the power of one little word and look at how the world is changing-not-good). Isreal-America-Obama keeping his word, (IRAN falls)

Sad state of Obama's USSA....

Indeed, I believe Mr Obama may actually admire Iran's President with his "deathgrip" control.

After all, Obama was "completely unaware" of his own Countrymen Protesting on April 15th against our Government takeover and financial meltdown.

His Administration has systematically ignored, villianised and ridiculed ANY opposing views.

Moscow news has stated America has made the fastest path towards Socialism ever seen in history under Obama's reign.

We wonder why "our" favorite Jr Senator remains on the sidelines as another country's people declare their desire for Freedom?

Your true colors are shown by your deeds.

Iranian Elections

The notion that the Iranians have to follow our models and the Neo Cons incredibly stupid philosophy is simply garbage.

Its those same raving morons that got us into Iraq.

We need to keep a complete hands off, and let the Iranian situation play out the way it will.

Its not our country, its not our religion, its not our culture, its theirs. US KEEP OUT!!!!

If they decide to compromise and keep some, part or all the existing structure in place, that's their decision not ours. This is about them, not us.

It may take 100 years for it to take the final shape, so be it.

Allowing communications to be kept open is as much as we can do. Anything else gives the radicals the tool they need to destroy.

The notion that they have to be a rubber stamp for us is absurd, but that is what the right wings and neo cons are, absurd fanatics that are as bad as the ones in Iran.

I wonder

I too hope that the Iranian people have their voice heard and that no more blood is shed but I doubt that either will happen.

I wonder what would the world be like if we wouldn't have overthrown the democratic government in the 50's

COLLIN

Somethings have a price to be paid in blood - this is often inevitable. Not caring is not inevitable - only tragic.

I suspect you have never been on the receiving end of a bullet - I have.

P'haps

P'haps we shall get lucky, and the mullahs will indeed be overthrown. Responding to a previous commentor, never underestimate the power of a motivated revolution-if one does that one will lose.

Personally, I don't care if blood is shed, I just hope that we get a less unfriendly regime in Iran.

A CIVIL WAR....

is a terrible and ugly thing and, in this case, I think hopeless. The mullahs are too powerful and they control a heartless army of zealots armed with tanks and machine guns.

Sadly, I think the most we can expect are a few crumbs of bread tossed to the screaming peasants.

Obama is doing this EXACTLY RIGHT, as he is

McCain is not president and bears no responsibility for his mouth. Remember,

"we are all Georgians, now"? Well, we weren't. Thank goodness we did not elect that ever-mistaken man.

Obama knows the "kiss of death" for any progress in Iran is for the fingerprints of the USA to be on the unrest. The IRANIANS must do whatever they do by themselves, and the president CANNOT shoot his mouth off as unwelcome "help".
