Michelle Malkin-Playboy 'Hate Rape' Distortion Is Venomous Too

June 04, 2009 03:05 PM ET | Bonnie Erbe | Permanent Link | Print

By Bonnie Erbe, Thomas Jefferson Street blog.

I wish I did not have to waste a blogpost refuting a distortion of my words in a previous post, but here goes.

The headline at this blogpost says I backed the "hate rape" of a female right-wing extremist columnist. I backed no such thing. I don't support and never would the "hate rape" or the "rape" of any woman or any person for that matter.

What I did say, and what is quoted on that page, is as follows:

I also want to note that at least one woman on the list is so venom-spewing, she unfortunately invites venom to be shot back at her: Michelle Malkin. Her posts and her "routine" are so venomous and predictable, in fact, I stopped paying attention to her years ago.

Does that need any more explanation than a plain reading of the language offers? I said she invites "venom" to be shot back at her. Rape and venom, last time I checked, were two different things. Whoever wrongfully, purposely distorted my words should run a retraction.
