Ignore Rush Limbaugh, Republican Leader of Nothing, on Colin Powell

By Bonnie Erbe, Thomas Jefferson Street blog

I was thinking about posting on the Powell-Limbaugh dustup but decided, at first, not to give Limbaugh any more "ink" than he already undeservedly receives. Then I espied my colleague Mary Kate Cary's remarks, and I just want to say, hear, hear!

Let's remember Limbaugh is a P.R. guy extraordinaire and his job is to appeal to the vintage wing of the GOP, not its future. My only thought is, too bad General Powell responded to a question about Limbaugh at all. He should have said, "Who the heck is that? Has he been elected to anything by anyone? If not, he's the leader of nothing but self-enrichment."

Racist? Yes

If the "non-whites" you are refering to are African Americans, the 95% vote for Obama is pretty much in line with past presidential elections. African Americans vote for Democratic candidates because the GOP is filled with hate-spewing racist like Rush.

Hey, your RIGHT

Yes Limbaugh IS NOT the leader of anything, He is a "entertainment only" radio host that has VERY high ratings.

To everyone who seems to believe he speaks for the majority of Conservatives, you've been listening to CNN and MSNBC too much.

BUT if you tuned into the BBC every once in a while to get a world perspective against the GE owned "news", you would find they had the guts to say exactly the same thing about Obama's support.

95% of "non-whites" voted for MR Obama.

You call us racists?

What and Give Up Show Biz?

To sum up Mr. Limbaugh, he can dish it out but he can't take it. If he has so many solutions to the country's ills and politics why doesn't he just get off his self-righteous duff and run for President or least Congress. But he won't he making too much money feeding the peanut gallery via his radio show. Rush, if you not part of the solution, then you are part of the problem.
