Supreme Court Nominee

If the desire is to reflect American society then we must look at how the court is now. the are 9 married members when more Americans are single. Their are 8 white members when whites only make up 1/2 of American. There are 8 male members when over 1/2 of Americans are women. There are 5 Catholics when Catholics make up a small percentage of America.

There are 9 justices so only 1 should be Catholic, 4-5 should me men and 4-5 should me married and 4-5 should be white. Therefore President Obama should NOT nominate a white person or a Catholic person. Most Hispanics are Catholic. 2 of the Catholics are Italian Americans so that may cancel out any Hispanic nominee due to religion and yes religion is a factor as there was once a Catholic "seat" on the court just as there was a "Jewish" seat, a Southern "seat", a New York "seat", a Western "seat".

Where are the Buddist on the court? Where are the Hindus on the court? Where are the Mormans, Jehovah Witnesses, and yes, the Muslims? Where are the Native Americans, Japanese Americans, Chinese Americans and the Vietnamese Americans?

President Obama must change the Supreme Court and break the monopoly of Northeastern memebers on the Court. Of the 9 there are only 3 that are from other areas of the nation. They are from Illinois, Georgia and California.

GRUNDY - YOU'RE STILL HERE?

After your last two posts I feel certain that it is well past time for your meds.

p.s.

I don't have a bunker - I live in an old missile silo in the desert, surrounded by barbed wire and pit bulls - near area 51 ( jist waitin' for them little, bald, bug-eyed E.T. types to land). Stop by and I'll show you my gun collection. In the meantime - "Keep watching the sky."

Schafer bunker

I can imagine posters of Rush Limbaugh in all his drugged-out obese splendor hanging on the wall, Pat Buchanan quotes in fancy bold font decorating the bathroom ceiling, a 3' x 3' Fox News logo above the TV, which is always tuned to their station, Lawrence Welk blasting from the 8-track player, Hannity and Beck bobble-head dolls all over the shelves, nestled around a small shrine to Archie Bunker.....

Schaefer

I would love to see how your bunker is decorated.

Oh Grundy....Just Stop...

I don't comment on every post... Just the ones that interest me, and those are the ones that usually have some kind of eternal theme or angle.

Further, you mistake my incisive wit and intellectual objectivity for "bitterness" - Not uncommon for the myopic relativist.

To show that I am indeed, "open minded" - I just reread my previous post on the "Obama Criteria" and have found it accurate and truthful in every detail. Even a devout Obamatron should be able to see that each of my criteria will be used as a litmus test for the next Supreme Court Justice by the administration. Of course, -the administration, the media and Obama will cloak these criteria in p.c. terms. Nonetheless, the truth of them will remain. I think even you can recognize that fact in your more lucid moments.

Well now, I think I'll take your advice and listen to that Monty Python song you mentioned. But tell me, does it achieve the profundity of the Beatle's "Yellow Submarine" or "I Am a Walrus"? And, do I have to play it backward in order to experience the full heavyosity? Tell me Grundy, what flavor of Kool Aid do you prefer when listening? I want to be certain that I achieve the entire dimension of, what I'm sure will be, the most euphoric and mind expanding experience of my lifetime.

Let's Hope...

Hillary in 2016? We can only hope!

Schaefer

You are a bitter, bitter man. You comment on almost every article, and the message is always the same: doom, gloom, bitterness, cynicism, defeatism, close-mindedness, and more bitterness. Lighten up and enjoy life. Remember the Monty Pyton song - Always Look on the Bright Side of Life? Give it a listen sometime.

THE OBAMA CRITERIA......

1. Not white (well maybe half - I hear he has insight in dealing with such a person) .

2. Secular Progressive Relativist (no God, no absolutes, no rule of law - law and morals are merely perceptions of human whimsy - constantly evolving).

3. Pro Abortion ( The science is clear - the unborn are not human - it's not clear what they are, but it's above the boss's "pay-grade" and that settles it).

4. Belief that the Constitution is simply a quaint document made up by old white guys wearing wigs and funny shoes (Time for a snappy update through judicial activism - not a mandated Constitutional Amendment).

5. Belief that Human rights are doled out by the Government based on cultural, economic and political priorities (In other words, justice/rights by opinion polls and the tyranny of the majority - Not endowed by our Creator).

6. A staunch supporter of the 1 st Amendment (Protect the right of Hollywood liberals to spew filth into our living rooms and public places, and corrupt our young people - while banishing God from public view and demanding He be kept in the same closet where we once kept pornography before it came to the family hour and our streets).

7. Embrace all parts of the Constitution that promote the Green - Socialist agenda (distort, rend, twist, ignore and marginalize those that don't).

8. Must be eco-sensitive and believe the "science" of Global Warming (must be a neo-Pantheist - Nature good, man and his works, evil).

9. A reader of only the "informational phrase" part of the Second Amendment ( That part about the, "Right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." Well, that was just a typo).

Now where will we find such a learned and evolved person? (Oh, I dunno.... you might try just about any university, courthouse or eco-socialist political group in the country.).

Well, lets see

Obama's pick won't be a conservative, won't be a sixth Catholic (adding to the five already there), won't be as old as Hillary Clinton (for longevity on the Court), and probably won't be a male.

THEN, we'll witness a hissy-fit by the Republicans in the Senate, no matter who it is.
