Don't Pity Penniless Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the Political Fundraising Machine
If you're a GOP donor, you might be receiving a request letter soon from, you guessed it, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. Poor penniless Gov. Palin is blaming that "politically motivated Troopergate probe" for forcing her to accumulate hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal debt.
Politically motivated? Is there anything Gov. Sarah Palin has done since she took office and ran for Vice President that has not been politically motivated? Here's a one-sentence refresher course on what the Troopergate allegation concerned:
At issue was whether Palin pushed for the firing of her ex-brother-in-law, state Trooper Mike Wooten, then fired public safety commissioner Walt Monegan when the trooper stayed on the job."
Nobody plays the political motivation game better than Gov. Palin, including infuriating members of her own party such as former Alaska governor and GOP powerhouse Frank Murkowski, whom she ran against and beat in a gubernatorial primary. So pity not poor penniless Palin. She's a survivor if ever there were one. Having a pity party just doesn't seem to suit her nail-spitting, moose-murdering image at all.

Christians being deluded by Palin
Somewhat of a strange comment by J of Ark. when you consider that the Christian religion is based on delusion created by men to entice people to join their particular sect. It's based upon the guilt/shame that people have because they have not followed the rules created by delusional men and the fear instilled that they will go to the place they have conceived called hell. Christians if your God is all forgiving as you preach how could He send you to such an evil place that the historical leaders have created? Just wondering.

Thanks for being civil and rational in explaining your intent. That definitely clears a lot up and it's much appreciated. While I myself am a hard atheist leaning agnostic, individual people who can observe and criticize not only other faiths but most importantly their own are in short supply around the country these days. :)

The first posts were intended to point out how far off Palin's religious beliefs are from basic christian beliefs which amounts to heresy and how far gone the people that support her are in having separated themselves, some no doubt unknowingly, from their own christian belief system.
My first clue on this situation was when I watched her on youtube talking to her church. Several comments raised a red flag for me, in particular the comment about taking Alaska. This is part of the New Apostolic Reformation and the Third Wave and is the concept of taking territories or cities which I suppose they believe has been taken over by demons. It also includes the concept of creating a New Apostolic Government. The whole deal is very complex and takes quite of bit of time researching and reading before one learns all the direction this movement has taken. I am still researching it myself from the christian take on it which is far from being supportive of what amounts to a cult or has cult-like character to it.
I strongly believe in religious freedom and I am very opposed of any kind of religious takeover of the government or a break from the principle of separation of church and state. I think christians are being deluded by movements of the sort Palin is involved in and coming to the point that they don't understand religious freedom is the best way to protect the right to choose what they believe.
I hope that explains it well enough. Sorry I weirded you and anyone else out. I was trying to draw attention to the weirdness of this movement to people who have been sucked in.
