No Depression

Yes, you hurt my feelings terribly. Have a lovely evening, and don't dream of scalpels on your scrotum.

Depression

Well, well, guess who's ticked off? My original comments stand, you are probably a man-hating women with severe psychosis to even type those words. Please go to the nearest clinic and get help! Yeah, abortion (murder)is a medical proceedure, that's really adequate justification in your diseased mind. Peace.

ChristmasTree of NY

Hey kookoohead, try reading my post before commenting. It was in response to another poster's suggestion. Bit pointless to comment on comments if you don't actually read the comment on which you're commenting. Did you follow that, or are you too busy trying to prove the world is flat?

However, your freakout just proved my point. No one would get any medical procedure if forced to watch videos of the procedure ahead of time.

Abortion Depression

To amb of IN, please use your computer to find the name of the nearest psychiatrist! Your psychotic, anti-male ranting is really over the top! Seek professional help and medication, don't continue this dangerous behavior, please!

abortion - hunting

I just read your article about "Bush pardoned a bunch of hunters". I equate this article with so called "abortion rights", the killing of babies by the millions, which you supposedly don't think can cause depression in women who have had his procedure. I don't know what la-la world you live in, but it isn't anywhere near normal. I am the adoptive mother of 2 wonderful children, who could have been aborted due to the selfishness and stupid acts of their birth parents. Now I read this really uninformed and uneducated article about hunting. I am not a hunter, and would not kill an animal, but hunting is a sport, and the hunters I know are truly dedicated to harvesting the meat. I take it you are vegetarian, otherwise you would not be eating any kind of meat from the supermarket which practices the worst kind of cruelty to animals in the butchering thereof. The uneducated remarks that you make are as follows: "urban and suburban sophisticates aren't drawn to hunting, which is mainly entertainment for rural folk. But there's less of rural American these days and with it, fewer rural citizens". Well, bless my soul, where do you think your food comes from? Corn surely isn't grown on the streets of New York, or the suburbs of Boston where the "sophisticates" are. Chickens aren't raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia or Chicago, vegetables aren't raised in downtown Los Angeles, cows aren't milked in barns located downtown Washington DC. Yep, that's where you think your future sustenance comes from, the suburbs and urban areas. Astounding that you don't know, or don't care to know, about rural life and how it supports you and the sophisticates, and will continue to do so in the future. Just give the the good honest hunter, who I guarantee you would never kill an unborn child, just give me the hardworking rural folks who raise the wonderful food I am privileged to eat. I'll leave all that sophisticated stuff to you, and hope you don't eventually starve on it! THANK GOD FOR RURAL FOLKS.

Almost 2009, and still women are chattel

To R.L. Schaefer of CA

And when a man wants a vasectomy, he should be required to meet and name every sperm whose chance of providing 1/2 of the necessary genetic material he is removing. He should then be required to wait five days for surgery, during which he must watch detailed and up-close videos of the sharp razor that will be used to shave his scrotum and around his penis, the scalpel which will cut deep into his scrotum, and the myriad sharp instruments that will be rammed into his scrotum to cut and twist the righteous pathways of his God-given sperm.

You should be ashamed

People don't want to be held responsible for the positions they put themselves in. If you don't want to be pregnant quit having sex! You have control over your body. Grow up and act like an adult.

Abortion is wrong all the way around. How would you feel knowing that the child you killed could have become the one to cure AIDS or cancer or something just as life changing???

You know what truly, without any shadow of a doubt, leads to depression... reading comments by such close-minded self-righteous bigots. It still surprises me how pathetic and boorish the anti-choicers are. Seriously, no one cares what you think.

logic

So abortion does not increase the risk of depression. Does acts of stealing, lying or violence increase the risk of depression? Are all thieves, liars or thugs depressed? So why would any one be depressed for murdering an unborn baby? Big deal! Bonnie's logic is brilliant, indeed. Long live the future!

Depression

Let's not forget that Obama voted FOR partial birth abortion, a proceedure in which a viable fetus is partially extracted from the mother, then has it's BRAINS sucked out, and the body is disposed of! That's a so-called woman's right to choose? I call it legalized murder. Maybe the baby should be saved, and the mother euthanized? What are the real statistics re the chances of a woman dying if she doesn't have an abortion at any stage of her pregnancy? Birth control is no more difficult than taking (1)small pill per day. How much easier is that than abortion? Time to re-think our values, such as they are, and choose life, not death. Finally, why should a married woman have the ultimate power without her husband's input? If the child was born alive, and they separate, he would be hit for child support. So this insanity is also anti-male, although you won't hear any feminists agreeing with it.
