Relevance of President Bush

Are you seriuos?...a useless war, does 911 ring a bell? It so easy to blame Bush, what about the senante or congress? I guess the majority being democrat has nothing to do with what has happened especially in the last couple of years. I think you need to get your head out of Obamas butt and wake up to what is about to happen in our country!

Step up to the trough.....

Instead of trying to rally the country past this economic bust, which roots date back to the Carter and Clinton Administrations, Ms. Erbe and other like-minded leftist "journalists" continue to fill the trough of Marxism with the same old slop.....that which the sheep will continue to lap up with the ignorance of what awaits us all: Government dominance over every aspect of our lives. Never mind the mortgage you can't pay now.....when the Democrat-Socialist party is done, we won't have a mortgage! Just don't complain about the assigned housing you will be living in once he government seizes all private property. You may just end up living in a Gulag of the 21st Century somewhere in what was once known as the greatest nation on the face of the Earth.

Sheep we are....baaaaaaa

Irrelevance

this article is typical of the decline of USN&WR, a magazine of which I was a faithful subscriber, reader and fan for several decades, but am no longer.

I recall a tremendous pressure in both 2000 and 2004 for Americans to immediately close ranks behind the apparent winner, and not to do so was deemed unpatriotic. We have just had a landslide but people are still complaining about Mr. Obama. I would like to know just why the posters above and others with similar attitudes are being so unpatriotic, and over 3 weeks past the election at that. Come on, now, folks, where's your rally cry now? And why aren't you closing ranks behind out new president-elect? Are you perhaps not the good Americans you would like to believe yourselves to be??

Where have you been? If things were run so well 8 to 16 years ago how come the tide changed. Could it be that the liberal changes that started with the Carter Administration, were boosted by the Clinton Administration and are about to be multiplied by the Obama Administration and lead us into world bankruptcy.

If we are to save the Auto Industry we should have them sell out to the Labor Unions and see if they can do any better with their ridicules labor demands.

MORTGAGE CRASH

APPARENTLY YOU FLUNKED HISTORY. THE COMMUNITY REENVESTMENT ACT GIVEN NEW LIFE BY THEN PRESIDENT CLINTON SET THE STAGE BY BLESSING ACORN AND LAUNCHING HEAD LONG INTO GIVING NO DOWN PAYMENT LOANS TO PEOPLE WHOSE INCOME INCLUDED WELFARE PAYMENTS AND FOOD STANPS. THEN CAME INTEREST ONLY LOANS ALONG WITH THE DREADED ADJUSTIBLE RATE MORTAGE. THE TWO TOGETHER WERE TWO GUNS TO THE HEAD OF THE POOR SOULS WHO WERE TALKED INTO SUCH LOANS. THEN CAME THE DERIVATIVES WHICH BUNDLED THESE TERRIBLE LOANS AND PAWNED THEM OFF ON INVESTORS. BARNEY FRANK WAS HEAVILY INVOLVED IN THIS PROCESS AND ENCOURAGED BOTH FANNIE MAE AND FREDDIE MAC TO PARTICIPATE. SEN DODD WAS ANOTHER. WHY DON'T YOU DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND REPORT THAT BOTH PRESIDENT BUSH AND SEN MCCAIN RAISED THE ALARM ABOUT THE SITUATIION LONG BEFORE THE EVENTUAL COLLAPSE. WE ARE NOW FACED WITH ECONOMIC PERIL THE LIKES OF WHICH WE HAVE NOT ENDURED AND YOU CASTIGATE, VILIFY, AND DENIGRATE THE SITTING PRESIDENT WHO HAS TO INFORCE THE LAWS THAT THE CONGRESS PASSED BEFORE AND DURING HIS TENURE. TRY AND REPORT THE TRUTH IF YOU CAN RECOGNIZE IT. REMEMBER, COUNTRY FIRST....PERIOD

To Sometimes and Ron McGee

Where have you guys been for the last eight years? Did you have your heads in the sand? As typical Republicans, you always blame everyone else for your mistakes, the blame is on both sides of the aisle. The Republicans in their haste to

deregulate the banking/investment and real estate industry did not bother to check to see who was going to monitor them? Don't tell me you did not read about Phil "Forclosure" Gramm, the Republican who bragged about how he rammed down our throats his

deregulation act? Then, while working with McCain he conveniently disappeared after sticking his foot in his mouth too many times. McCain should have known better than to ask him for advise, he knew what a liability Gramm was, but McCain is not too quick either. Or perhaps, you did not know that McCain's boy was still working for Freddie Mac to the tune of $15,000 a month! Why do you think he was paid so much? I know you can justify anything you want to say, but the proof in the pudding is, the voters got tired of the lies, the deceit, the manipulation, the lack of integrity of the Republican Party. Don't be such a sore loser, we all make mistakes, geez your party has made more than their share---so now you are going to stand there and wait for Obama to make his first mistake so you can start chanting and pointing. People who live in glass houses should not throw stones.

Pres. Bush

How sad the people on the left are with their hatred of Bush. Now they will see who the real grownups are. The GOP!! We won't allow our dislike and distrust of the new President make us feel hate. We will work with the new Pres. and put our country first. Too bad the democrats couldn't be grownup enough to do that.

Relevance of President Bush

This Erbe lady is a typical nutty left winger. She should go back to 2002, 2003, 2005 and replay some of the TV reports. They plainly report that the Bush administration tried to curtail the mortgage and wall street mess mess, but idiots like Dodd and Frank in congress stopped them. Both those nut jobs said that Fannie and Freddie were great. Put the blame where it belongs - on the democrats in congress. What about Robert Rubin - who was CEO of Citigroup all these years? Where is his responsibility. But he took his $100 million and never said a word. Shouldn't he have some blame? Gosh, I forgot - he's a democrat ad democrats never make mistakes. And what would the liberal left have said if we had been attacked once again. Of course- blame Bush.

Oh well - the messiah has arrived and all will be well. But notice how he has changed his tune now that he has received briefings on the war and economy. Let's see what this lady has to say when he screws up.

Relevance of President Bush

You are in for such a shock, me lady. Your head is in a cloud and you can't see what's really coming with such an "adult" leader coming on the scene. How do you think this country would be today if people like you had spoken positively about President Bush, as you are trying to do with the president-elect, instead of tearing him down every chance you got? It's a wonder you still have a job, since Bush was such a poor president. I'll give you a year with your euphoric attitude to wake up to what is really happening to this country.
