Jobs!

Is she looking for people to manage the ranch?

My husband and I had quarter horses and would be interested in working on the ranch.

Great!

This is a great act of charity. Would like to get a group together to see either the first, second or even the third release of the mustangs. Do you think she would invite us??

Would she pay my way?????????

Kindnest quiets the soul

Enlightenment comes to we humans slowly but surely. As we find kindness in our hearts to animals, we find that value gives our soul a refreshed outlook to life. Horses are my passion and with the money I have, I adopted a fallen race horse doomed for the meat wagon. The beauty of seeing a gloss back on a coat that hung from bones only a year before, to see safety come back to the eyes instead of terror. Horses are such a part of our USA history that to give them respect for what they've contributed is, just plain, right. Praise be to these kind people to bring relief to the animals in need. Not an easy undertaking when one must fight the laws. That's all, folks.

Mustang Savior

God has blessed us with this person (Mrs. Pickens)--altruism at it's best! I hope there is enough food, water and land released by the BLM (or TED TURNER)to sustain these creatures---and yes equine IUDs are viable---camel herds have been controlled by this idea for decades--Mrs. Pickens I humbly salute you!!!! AN E-MAIL ADDRESS TO THANK HER PERSONALLY WOULD BE WONDERFUL!

Wild horses

Thank god for the Pickens . I live in Nevada where most of the mustangs have been taken from. If I did my job the way BLM has I would have been fired. The stud colts could have been gelded and most of the mares could have been inplanted just like people do for birth control. There was no need for this mess. It is always the animals who suffer for people and their actions or in this case lack of. You can bet the goverment would have sold them off turned their heads and those horses would have been on the dinner table in europe.I have lived in Nevada must of my life and have watched the mustang rounded up and inpounded . We use to go riding and see small bands runing wild now we see very few becouse the goverment has rounded them up. Now that our economy is in the dumps you can bet the horses would have been at the bottom of the list like most of us .

Madeleine Pickens

Does anyone know a general way in which I can contact Mrs. Pickens? I would like to work and help with this project, being a mustang-owner myself. A suggested address (corporate otherwise), or an assistant's email would be so helpful. Thank you.

Now Harry, liking Mrs. Pickens is not a reason to bash Al Gore.

im thankful

there is a god thank you mrs pickens- i find myself in awe that a person of this stature would consider commiting herself to this enormous task. These are people who deserve more then just thanks- they are the reason we live in a great country. there charitable donations is always a reminder that rich people also give back something to the community. These are the people who desrve a nobel prize- not some person saying that the earth is getting warmer because of humans!

This is a great cause

Cheryl Crow is also working to save the horses.

The best model for this is the one the Paul Newman used for his causes. Even though I didn't agree with Mr. Newman views I did respect and admire him for finding a way to fund it himself.

I wonder if she has met Ted Turner. He has 2,000,000 acres in 12 states. Oil guy and wife, meet the cable guy.
