Sarah Palin's Feminist Flip-Flop

Feminisim is no longer relevant

Who cares whether Sarah Palin or anyone else is a feminist?

There is no longer feminisim. The most feminist achieved was to obtain the right to act like men at their worst. Women have sold out to liberalism.

I cite as support the complete failure of women's groups to complain of the actions of the Sexist in Chief, Bill Clinton. In fact, many so called feminist defended his actions, and ignore the sexist conduct of other politicians and public figures.

There is also the lack of feminine outrage at the acceptance of Sharia law in Europe. Despite the example of the application of Sharia law in Afghanistan, there are no significant examples of "feminists" challenging Islam, radical or otherwise. Georgtown University has a center for Islamic study that is currently sponsoring discussion about the relevence of Shaira law in the United States.

If women think things were unequal in the first 200+ years of the history of the United States, just wait until we elect the "appeasers" running on the Democratic ticket, and they cave into the demands of our enemies in the name of multiculturalism!

but what is the qustion?

Are we assuming that Palin understands the meaning of the word 'feminist?'

sarah palin

It is a sad day in America when a person such as Sarah

Palin is even considered to be Vice President of the United

States of America. With her education, she is not even

eligible to apply for a job as a teacher in the state where I reside. . John McCain is showing in incredible lack of leadership with this decision. Palin is also an insult

to all of the brilliant men and women that are qualified for this post.

I once like McCain, but he lost my vote on this poor, unthoughtful choice of a Vice President.

Blinded Koolaid Drinkers

I am shocked to hear that ABC would write a negative article on Sarah Palin. Wake up, she he has more experience than B.O. and she would finally bring a REAL person into the fray that can relate to the average person in this country I.L.O the regular corrupt, self serving swindler people would see in Obama if they only opened their eyes. Remember these blinded Koolaid drinkers when B.O. and his insane ideas cause us all to work even harder but yet earn less by paying for the the lazy of this country. Of course that is only if we don't first loose our jobs due to them being sent overseas or because of massive layoffs due to our employers being taxed to death and needing to make cuts to survive themselves. Did I mention B.O.'s great plans to weaken our millitary and open our country up to another 9-11. Or his plan's to take away the right to bear arms. That way only the criminals will be armed. Just say NOBAMA!!!!

Idiots with opinions

People who still harp on Palin not knowing what a VP job is obviously don't know that some people still joke around and other people take it out of context. But then again, that may be the veil that covers those Obama cultists and the reason why you need to continue to rehash the past over and over again because you can't find something valid to hard about.

Hey Carol of NE

Not even close. Your comparisons make no sense whatsoever. Asking a woman if she strongly identifies with a movement to overturn gender inequality of women is in no way like asking a man if he's straight, sexist or a socialist. And people do often ask male politicians about their feelings on women's issues.

But it's particularly valid to ask when someone reaches out to women with references to shattering the glass ceiling. We want to know to what degree she identifies herself a feminist, if at all. Or if she's picking up gimmicky slogans and liberally tossing them around without a thorough understanding or appreciation for what movement and actions actually took place to shatter that ceiling.

Palin

Give me a break. What is the definition of feminist anyway. The N.O.W defines it as a liberal period with no room for anyone else that has a different view. Remember that she is a elected official who has run a state for 3 years. You may disagree with her but please do not call her stupid.

VP - Are you kidding?

Feminist or not, Palin is clearly incapable of holding any office (in the United States). Sadly, the Republicans have made a pageant off of this election. I thought our politics was much better than countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, or Indonesia where women get elected in the name of feminism, routinely undermining more qualified and capable men. No wonder those countries are where they are. As it is, America is losing its global leadership rapidly. I can't begin to imagine that here we are actually debating about electing this "caribou barbie" fool to the highest office of US. I'd like to remind independents about her dumb interview with Katie Couric.

I love Sarah Palin

I stopped watching NBC a while ago when I finally realized just how biased they were - why does the mainstream media want Obama so much??? What is the deal here? It is actually a bit frightening how left-wing they are. And you buy into it as well....... And Katie Couric, her ratings are in the tank so she will do anything for a headline! How pitiful!

SARAH PALIN (WHO)

I HAVE BEEN A LONG TIME REPUBLICAN AND NORMALLY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE I WOULD VOTE REP (EVEN WITH MCCAIN'S MISTAKES) BUT I HAVE TO SAY THIS TIME I CAN'T WITH SARAH PALIN ON THE TICKET. THIS WOMAN IS NOT READY TO BE PRESIDENT IN THE EVENT THAT SOMETHING SHOULD HAPPEN TO McCAIN. SHE DOSEN'T EVEN KNOW THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE VP.I SUGGEST SHE READ THE CONSTITUTION. I THINK SHE IS AN IDIOT, AND DOES NOT REPRESENT ME AS A WOMAN (hockey mom)COULDN'T SHE HAVE GONE TO ROSS CLOTHING STORE, THEY HAVE DESIGNER LABELS THERE TOO. WHAT A JOKE MCCAIN SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF HIMSELF. I'M SO DISAPPOINTED IN THE REPUBLICAN PARTY RIGHT NOW.
