Obama's Ties to Acorn

Having done research into the activities of ACORN, I am convinced that Obama has been having close ties to ACORN for more than a decade and it has played an important role in providing volunteers to work for Obama's political campaigns since 1996. He was also involved in training leaders of ACORN, and had served as a lawyer for it on one case. In addition, he was instrumental in helping ACORN get grants from two non-political foundations in which he served as a board member. Moreover, his current presidential campaign has provided $800,000 to ACORN to help with voter registration. Now widespread frauds in voter registration has come to light in many battleground states and ACORN is under investigation. Further, it is shocking to learn that ACORN was actively involved in strong-arming banks in making mortgage loans to low-income minorities. This kind of activity by community organizations like ACORN seems to be one of the reasons for the financial meltdown now being addressed with a bailout shouldered by all Americans with a price tag of $700 billion. Against the above-mentioned facts, it is surprising that Obama accuses GOP of trying to smear him with ties to ACORN that are only minor.

When in doubt - cheat, lie & steal

It is a shame we are having voter fraud on such a massive scale, by a group, ACORN, who could do good in this country. But my take is they have decided to do whatever it takes, cheat, lie & steal to get Obama elected. It is obvious this is a partisan decision, else why are all Democrats registered. And it is also obvious Obama has connections with Acorn, Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, etc. which tells me, I cannot trust him because he has the character of a man who would anything & everything to furthere himself & would associate with those, this country does not need to associate. I do not like the Clintons & was hoping Obama would beat her, but now after all that has come forth, I will not cast a vote for Obama.

Obama lies, lies lies...and he does it soooo smoothly that the majority thinks he has "just set that straight". Votes hear what they want..no one checks the facts or perhaps they just don't care. He looks good, talks good and will take care of them. Right out of the Nazzi Manefesto. I give up on America if we vote in Obama. No, I'm not Republican - simply a working, middle class chump. ACORN is good for those people that suckle the Government Teet. ACORN is for those people that have a mentality of entitlement.

I am a white woman that had to "rough it", 1 full and 1 part-time minimum wage job and lived in my car for 2 of the 6 years that it took me to get my degree (I paid for my college as I was taking classes). I could not get a Pell Grant because I made "too much money" but, because I was paying for my college, I could not afford a place to live. I was afraid to get a loan because I could barely afford the basic necessities of life and did not want to risk a bad mark on my credit in case I was laid off from 1 on my 2 jobs. Affirmative action and government handouts did nothing for me! I was working 2 jobs (no health insurance), homeless living in my car and could not get a dime of assistance. While I was going through this tough time of my life, I was furius to find there was a female minority who did not work and got a free ride for college. She had 2 kids, received a pell grant ,government assistance $, food stamps, WIC and Medicaid.

ACORN is great for people that leech off of the government. I

am tired of paying high taxes to a government that did not lift a finger to help me in my time of need when I was obviously a motivated and productive member of society. Because I was not a minority, I got NO assistance and had to pay taxes., work 2 jobs and pay for my own college so the minorities can get a free ride.

Just like Obama said to Joe the plumber, "he wants to spread the wealth". I was living in my car, working 2 jobs paying my way through college so that woman and her 2 kids could have a good life. How nice!

I guess that woman is one of ACORN's success stories?

While ACORN may have been founded on doing good for the poor, Obama's campaign should have avoided even the hint of impropriorty, by donating ANY ($800,000)money to this group during an election shows just that. By the way the street people were also bribed with cigarette and food to register as democrats. It doesn't matter whether Obama was the one actually out on the street doing the registrations or not he's still responsible, he has tainted his own campaign by his actions, this is probably why he refused public funding for his campaign. If every election only let the candidates spend exactly the same amount of money, have exactly the same amount of press coverage and made the playing field equal for all of those in the race including green party, independents, democrats and republicans then MAYBE we would have a real choice of candidates. Since when is exposing the truth smear tactics. Michelle has been "off limits" the whole campaign, but her "non profit" Chicago hospital employer gave her a $195,000 RAISE this year when her husband looked like he had a chance, she has given lists of things commentators cannot ask when interviewed. The Obama's purchase of a $1.6 billion dollar home was enabled by the Chicago MAFIA. Their children go to PRIVATE school. He called his grandmother who raised him from an early age (not his mother) a TYPICAL WHITE WOMAN. That is an insult to all white women. Whites are as diverse as blacks, espanics or any other ethnic group in America in all aspects of life, it's a smear against whites. He's has funneled government grant money for the poor to his cronies, Ayers and Rev. Wright. He has said wealth should be spread around, what that means is if you work the government should take more of your hard earned money and give it to the people who won't work, he certainly doesn't live on Main Street America. At this point I question EVERYTHING he says and does. Sure we all want change, BAD to WORSE is change, that's not the change we want. Let's start a grassroots movement NOW and next election let's have a real change and get some people into Congress and the White House who are neither Democrat or Republican, that would be a REAL CHANGE. Our elected officals are supposed to be PUBLIC SERVANTS, when was the last time you got to decide when you got a raise? Every time they vote on anything the whole bill should be published in our local papers and we should be telling them how to vote, they make promises to us and then through bribery betray us. Let's recall all of them, set new limits on how long they are allowed to serve and allow NO career politians, their authority has gone to heads.

It was interesting to note Obama's recent response to allegations of voter fraud by ACORN. His statements were virtually identical to what the ACORN people are saying. They claim that it's just a few bad apples who are greedy and therefore are registering a few more folks to vote than actually exist, ie dead people, felons, children, Mickey Mouse, etc. Turns out that a number of people who are hired to register voters are criminals who have been charged with identity theft. Don't they screen their workers? Give us a break, anyone with a brain can see that this is an organized and systematic attempt by Obama to steal the election. Oh, and the claim of republican voter fraud in 2000 is a hoax. The confusing ballots were designed by Democrats and then they got to count hanging chads and claim they were votes for Gore. Yep, election tampering then too.

Innocent connection

His only connection to Acorn is around 13 years ago, when his law firm represented Acorn. Their partner in the case was the U.S. Justice Department. There are no scandalous or unethical connections to Acorn. It suprises me that even McCain would say that he is worried about Obama's connection. That means he is trying to use spin, or he is uninformed. Either are bad in my opinion.

By the way, the Acorn controversy is really about fraud being committed against Acorn by part-time employees who made up registration names because they didn't want to actually work for their paycheck.
