Hello
This brings back to mind something funny that my sister always said...
Obviously it's most likely not appropriate right this moment...
There's more...
Another story about ACORN in Florida came out last month. They paid people $3 per registration to go door to door getting black people in particular registered. When one African-American woman brought in a bunch of cards with legitimate black Republican registrations, they said there was no such thing as a black Republican and threw away the registrations and did not pay her.
This is in a state where Gore lost to Bush by a few hundred votes.
Should be a video on YouTube about it.

Powell, Money and Acorn
Colin Powell was totally self serving by coming out for Obama. What do you want to bet he played this one down to the wire to see who would likely win and then jumped on the bandwagon. What a political coward he turned out to be.
Obama is buying the election with his hundreds of millions spent and he likely had it planned this way all along by lieing to McCain about taking public financing and then switching to private to get an advantage.
Obama is also guilty of fraud with Acorn and if there is an investigation he will end up being exposed for his lies.
RE: ACORN is a good organization
I applaud your motives in defending ACORN, and especially the contribution you made in the 70's. And I have no doubt there are still many dedicated people in the organization, working to make a difference. But the reality is that this goes beyond one or two volunteers and organizors. In 2006 five ACORN workers went to jail for fraud in Washington. There have been other convictions in other states as well. The pattern if fraud has gone back over the past decade. Don't you think it is possible the focus and leadership of the organization may have changed in the last 40 years since you worked there? NOW certainly has; why not Acorn?
