John McCain's Slide and the Financial Crisis: It's the Economy, Stupid

McCain or Obama, who will be a better candidate

Why would we vote for a man that is so out of touch with what is going on in the US today. McCain doesnt have a clue. He is not in touch with average Americans. The people who are struggling day to day to make ends meet. Those that are losing there one home that they have. What does he know about that, if he loses one he has about 6 more to go to. And Palin, she is a joke. Can she answer a question straight, or even with common sense? I would be afraid of the outcome of this Nation if they were at he helm. Barack knows the pains of the common people. He knows the struggles and challenges that we face. I'm proud that through his adversity he has made something wonderful of his life, and I'm confident that he and Joe Biden will take this country to the next level and bring about the positive change that we so desperately need.

We need to Hear the DEBATE

I am very concerned when a candidate cancel a debate!!!!! Why? All of a sudden you're needed in Washington when you haven't been there for months? To me, it sound as if you're afraid to debate. Let's get it on and hear what both candidates have to say. I'm concerned that if the debate is not a go, the American People will stay confused about the Palin/McCain campaign (Smile). Remember Sarah Palin saying the best choice is the Palin/McCain ticket; not the McCain/Palin ticket.

By the way, whose running for President on the Republican ticket McCain or Palin?

Get it together McCain........Learn how to multi-task and learn how to use a computer.

It's always the economy, stupid

Any Republican candidate would have had to try hard to turn the focus as far away from the way the Bush policies have bankrupted this country.

And John has tried.

But when the biggest contributors take the money and run and we the people are told we must bear the cost of the bail out again, the best strategy John could come up with on short notice was to cancel his much begged for debate as if that would accomplish anything.

Now, all that is left is last minute swift boat type attack ads.

The Real Them

What's changed is the very face of how this race is now run. I watched both men speak regarding the economy today and all have to say is that Obama was Mr.Cool, not Mr React with Panic. Fear mongering is the ONLY platform I've seen come out of McCain/Palin and I'm tired of it. I liked Obama's calm demeanor today and the fact that he said that a President should be able to multi-task. Umm, I would hope so! They don't need any more bodies in Washington making this decision, that's what is great about the electronic age, you can stay in touch via email, phone etc. (Unless you're not so tech savvy...)I want the debate on Friday and I want to see McCain try and hold his own against Obama, there's no ads to hide behind and I think we'll see truth in demeanor. Experience is not relegated to the time spent on this Earth, it has to do with opening your mind, learning, and adapting to what is happening today. I like that Obama won't pander to fear-mongering, that's Bush/McCain/Palin's strategy. I want to know that my next President is working on real strategies, with a positive outlook, because in the end we all still need to eat, work and survive. I believe that no matter what, Obama/Biden will give 200% to the PEOPLE of this country, not just the name of America and blowhard patriotism. Country first?? Nope, people first. Obama's strength is organizing communities, motivating people to make change from the bottom up, and this country needs some serious cleaning from the bottom up. Without us functioning on the bottom, nothing else will matter. If I had to pay more taxes to help support some of Obama's programs, I'd do it gladly. I'd rather be able to go to the doctor when I needed, and be able to be productive in society, than worry about becoming wealthy. Just as a PS: I was very impressed that Obama/Biden's Health plan explicitly included broad sweeping Mental Health reform. It's a shameful crisis in our country that Vets live on the streets, that discrimination is still rampant against mental health patients (who are denied meds because of funding and greed) and that it's not taken more seriously by McCain/Palin. They mention Autism and Special Needs on McCain's site, but it's so much deeper than just that. I'd like to hear more people ask direct questions regarding that issue.
