Polls Are Looking Bad for the McCain-Palin Ticket

I agree Tax cuts have to go

I say raise their taxes to 40%. I would say to do this for only people over 400k per year, but I believe we should end the bush tax cuts for the 250k over people back to 35%. And, this should only be done on net income. When we finish paying off this bail out and make a dent in our deficit, then we talk about lowering taxes. America will need this revenue to keep our military strong while we are deployed. Social Security is welfare, however, the government led the older generation to believe it wasnt'. The idea was that they were being forced to save money for their retirement, I believe teh real idea was to have it in case of another depression. We need to take care of our own people. Some of these people can't work because of injuries, old age, or just mentally incapable people. I don't believe it should be given to people who are just lazy. As for as you telling him to get a better education, some of us can't do it without welfare. I am getting financial aid, government subsidized loans, and am not guilty for it. I say this because it is an investment in america and a leveling mechanism. We invented a society people our born into and get dealt bad hands. We owe it to americans to help, but I believe it needs to be the teach a man to fish philosophy. Social Security is not welfare if you are a younger generation and you are working, it is just an extra tax.

Seriously stating Democrats being bad with money?

I just saw a comment stating democrats are bad with money. Didn't we have a surplus under Clinton and a huge deficit under Bush? By the way I'm in an independent so don't give me the partisan treatment. The Pay As You Go" policy (if you cut taxes you must make a corresponding cut in spending) that Clinton put into action was completely dropped when Bush got into office.

Obama/Kerry

I think McCain will win. Obama is worst than Kerry.

DEAR INDEPENDENT VOTER

I think by picking Gov. Palin, McCain has only polarized the country even more than W could have imagined possible - all the while singing to his own "maverick" tune. I hope that, as an independent voter, you will not make Palin the basis of your vote because at the end of the day, this is really about McCain's judgement and the issues.

Smart voters like you are already aware of the issues. So, let us talk about judgement. McCain is a seasoned politician but he has cornered himself into the position he is in because of his overwhelming, consuming desire to be president at all costs.

Over the last eight years, this single factor alone has made him dance all over the place - from calling "certain" people as agents of intolerance to going to bed with them, from enacting so-called campaign reform - regardless of its merit - to arming his campaign in 2008 with the same people that worked for the guy that destroyed him eight years ago, from passionately talking about torture issues to going mute when W excluded portions of the torture bill that he disagreed with by way of signing statements, from opposing Bush tax cuts to openly embracing it now when it is convenient, not voting for Katrina funds when needed to now pretending to be an empath - and the list goes on.

McCain knows he is not a young man so why pick Palin and potentially put her in a place that she clearly does not deserve - even worse, it is scary for the country to have such a clueless candidate in that position, who is all about macho speeches and yet afraid to face real scrutiny. And yes, it does reflect on McCain no matter what she does or does not do.

And, next is the question of his temparement. How many times have we known when he has acted rashly without thought on an impulse and then only to apologize - and this has happened many, many times. Remember the "jerk" comment and "bomb, bomb, bomb" comment. I am sorry but key presidential decisions that affect the country's future should not be put in the hands of someone that is ill-tempered, cranky and impulsive. Remember the last 7-1/2 years. What did we achieve?

Once more, it is not about Palin. Instead it reflects everthing about who McCain really is.

And as for the media....

More specifically, the media started repeating the "straight talk express" mantra the day after McCain decided that he will paint his bus with a slogan that will renew his primary campaign. Overnight, he became an embodiment of straight talk with no intense scrutiny over how credible the claim really is.

And then there are some journalists who are devoted to getting to the truth - like the one from the link below.

And, finally, for all of you that have doubts about his maverick status, but could not put your finger on it, click the "Reform Institute" link from inside the link above.

Thank you for your time and I hope you will do the right thing come this November.

Palin

Remember palin is from the assembly of god chursh. Enough said.

They Don't Stand A Chance:

When John McCain articulated his pro-life stance, he stood head and shoulders above the competition. McCain delivered. McCain also delivered a pro-life running mate, who puts her money where her mouth is. That these two will standup and call a spade a spade is truly electrifying. They're standing up; I get it. On a lighter note, Global Warming is an apparent hoax. Sarah Palin's proximity to the polar region caused the snowmelt. The woman is on fire. Here’s Jan & Dean: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eX7X4FovYRA&NR=1 And, I got your political pork; right here: http://theseedsof9-11.com

don't count our mccain and palin

Sara Palin hit a home run in her speech. She has wit and style and more experience by a long shot compared to Obama. The media is determined to be the factor that is going to decide this election. People of America - do you really want more taxes and less money for all the hard work you do. Do you really feel comfortable thinking about Obama keeping us safe?

McCain truly loves this country and has proven it over and over again -- God Bless America.

What has happen to our usa,thr rich keep getting richer.Poor keeps getting poorer
