palin in pro-choice picture

I think that this article is stupid. first of all, there is no evidence that she is or ever has been pro-choice or even in agreement with people on this issue. To suggest that she might because God forbid her picture appeared on a website is immature and irresponsible, and for the Covenant news to allow this blog without further investigating if there is actually fact to it shows that perhaps they are more interested in getting a good story to attract readers than actually reporting truth. I happen to know, as a pro-life activist, that rarely do people have control over what pictures end up on websites- for example, on my website, on the top of the home page you will see a woman in a pink shirt and hat, holding 2 pink signs with pro-life messages. Little does anyone really know that the woman was a planned parenthood volunteer protesting against us(we changed the sign messages). You can see it at www.youth4revolution.com to see what I am talking about. Bottom line is, just because you see it on a website does not mean you can put false innuendos and ridiculous and stupid thoughts saying, ooooohhhh she may not be pro-life. How about this- cancel my subscription until you actually learn how to report truth instead of rumor.

The website for the Alliance for Reproductive Justice clearly states that they sought Governor Palin's assistance on 5 issues even though they disagree with her anti-choice position, her support of abstinence only education and her support of teaching creationism in public schools. They further say she did not ask on any of their requests. So, don't let the photo fool you about her socially conservative positions. They are for real!

James Dobson is not am elected politician.

"in all fairness" James Dobson is not am elected politician. With all the politician there are, it is obvious your liberal anti-Sarah Palin bias is something you have to come to grips with.

More liberal media trickery.

But Palin Has Actually DONE Nothing, As Governor, To Stop Abortion

Recovering Republican

Amazing conclusion

I just read COL. A.M. Khajawall's list of considerations when determining the "Right Ticket" to support in the Presidential election. As I did so, each item clearly brought to mind one of the two major party tickets and confirmed my evaluations. The shock came when I came to the Colonel's conclusion. I cannot imagine how he can find those qualifications on the Democratic side of the race. I could go through each one and explain my dismay that the obvious application to McCain/Palin was lost on him. But since I believe it should be obvious, I'll just let the reader take each point, hold it up to the candidates, and truly look at the record and the vision they hold--and the way they will accomplish their promises.

Evangelicals Lacking Discernment

Dear Bonnie,

I am a Christian woman who has been politically active for 15 years... However, I try to look at politics through a Biblical view and use discernment. Sarah Palin seems to be a victim of modern day evangelicalism which no longer uses the written Word of God as its guide. I hope Sarah will take care to not be photographed with pro-aborts or seek "common ground" with them as there is none. I also hope and pray she will remember that her first priority is to serve God as a wife and mother.

21st century Pharisee

Whatever else she may or may not be, Sarah Palin is a dangerous, fascist, Christian radical who is a living, breathing example of what Jesus was talking about when he singled out some of the Pharisees of His time and called them "whitewashed tombs, glistening on the outside but filled with stench and corruption".

Hey, maybe she is a politician?

Let's face it folks, if the Republicans were really serious about ending legalized abortion, it could have and would have been accomplished long ago. Having a majority of Supreme Court justices that want to overturn Roe v. Wade would be a tremendous plus in that effort, but it is not an absolute requirement by any means. Judges do not make laws; they issue opinions about laws. The laws are made by the legislators and the legislative and executive branches together could simply say to the Supreme Court, "Well thanks for your opinion, guys, but we think differently and we're not going to follow your advice on this one." What could the Supreme Court do to stop it? Not a thing. Roe v. Wade would have been history a long time ago if the Republicans had had the will to do so. The fact of the matter is, for the vast majority of "pro-life" Republicans, voicing support for the overturning of Roe v. Wade is politically extremely expedient. But if they actually did overturn Roe v. Wade they would lose an important carrot to dangle in front of Christians.

Palin bailed out of a scheduled appearance at a CWA meeting to receive an award from Phyllis Schlafly. She made not a single reference to abortion in her speech. And, more than anything else, she agreed to be on the same ticket with John McCain. This tells me that she is a political animal, and capable of changing her spots. So it comes as no surprise that she would try to play to both sides of any given issue: that is what politicians do. (Ron Paul excepted -- he does not hesitate to say things to an audience that they might not want to hear. Whatever you think of his policies, you've got to admire his integrity. I had hoped Palin would be the next Ron Paul, but if she was, she would never have agreed to be on the same ticket with McCain, unless she plans to be LBJ to McCain's JFK. [That's a joke, son.])

Bottom line: on abortion, don't listen to what Republicans say, but rather see what they do. They don't do anything except posture in front of the cameras. As soon as the cameras are off, they go back to being Democrats.

The question remains valid...what was she doing there? What did she say to them?

And why are they all so happy to be photographed with her...or she with them?

Imagine if she had just told them they were all murderers and baby-killers, which is what she believes...would you get a photo like that? I think it is well worth trying to get an answer from one of the women in that photo.

I agree

If you go to the source of this picture you show

http://www.alaskaprochoice.org/

You will see a letter of complaint about how not

only is she AGAINST REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS, she has

done very little to nothing to support women and

children after the babies are born.

Let's not confuse people with innuendo when this

woman is a serious threat to our american freedoms!
