re: the little people

whoever wrote " the little people" really needs to get over themself. obviously terrorism didnt impact you the way it impacted some people. people feared the name hussein because hussein did try to attack us on a mass scale. just think of internment camps. people were put there because of a notional scare. not saying it was right just saying everyone has there opinions and unfortunatly people in high places had the wrong opinion back then.

Sarah Palin

I was going to vote for John McCain till he picked a lovely lady, but an evangelical (former Assembly of God member) and I

have family members who belong to that church. They believe in

literal interpretation of the Bible, and base a lot of their beliefs in the book of Genesis as truth. The earth was formed in

6 days (24 hour days!) and mankind is no more that about 6000 years old, because of all the begats added together. That is called the Creationism that Sarah Palin wants taught in the public schools. Evidently she doesn't believe birth control should be taught in health classes in public high schools either. She would also try to help stack the Supreme Court to

assure that Roe vs. Wade would be overturned someday. Back to the back alley abortions. I am a 73 year old retired nurse, and

not a crackpot. I just know I can't vote for a woman that would

put women's rights and science back a few centuries. A scared woman.

Question of the day !

What's the difference between a hockey mom and a vice-presidential candidate ?..... A LOT !

The little people

I always love it when someone points out that Barack's middle name is Hussein. Wow. Really? You mean just like Saddam? OMG. Say it isn't so. Oooo now I'm so scared. People with little minds and too much time. My advice to you is get a job, or better yet enter a beauty pagent and go to journalism school because then you will be qualified to become president.

Why did John McCain pick Sarah?

Go to You Tube, search on Palin McCain. About four hits down you'll find John McCain's Wandering Eyes. Watch and be treated to about two minutes of the old goat checking out her rear end on stage. Priceless!

Palin again

The more that comes out, the more it becomes evident that this choice was made in haste by both McCain AND Palin. McCain for not knowing enough about the woman and just seeking a warm female body as a running mate to attract Hilary's voters.

Palin for being opportunistic at the cost of her family's privacy when the smartest move was to decline and take care of her children. There were other genuine candidates for VP McCain could have chosen. The Palin family has but ONE mother. She would not be the first to selfishly select the spotlight over the needs of her family but that act puts into serious question the family values issue so ardently proclaimed by the Republican party.

There is a legitimate question of valid judgment by both these people. American voters have the right to ask that question!

Party of Idolatry

It is the process of the major party primaries that "vets" the democratic and republican candidates. Everything, from their financial dealings and responsibilities, their ties to persons that question their character and likely their decision processes, are part of the public spectacle that has become American "Idol" politics. Mr. McCain and Mr. Obama were "vetted" publicly, along with pro and con Vietnam Vet stories, Jeremiah Wright, the Keating Five, the Weather Underground, sexual dalliance that caused the failure of McCain's first marriage and questionable financier's of Obama's first home.

-What if the ethics probe into Gov Palin's involvement in the firing of the DPS chief because he would not fire her ex-brother-in-law turns out to favor the DPS chief?

-http://blackmenformccain.com offers some commentary (I won't repeat) from a concerned conservative about McCain's pick that's not being reviewed in the media.

-How does she advocate an "abstinence only" approach to teen birth control that didn't work in her own family?

Since experience was McCain's issue, what about Elizabeth Dole (R-NC), Kay-Bailey Hutchinson (R-TX) or Olympia Snowe (R-Maine). Ms. Snowe has the experience to "step into the job of the presidency on a moments notice" as do the others named and Dole and Hutchinson could deliver the south for Mr. McCain. How did Sarah Palin shine over these possible choices? No one is asking this question.

It is proper to ask these questions as it is to observe one Vietnam Vet trashed in '04 (Kerry) while McCain is celebrated by the same party in '08. A party of idolatry: not values or message but facade of a worldview that does not exist.

Conservatives

Conservatives don't seem to understand what they call "family Value".Family Value is a broad term. Its meaning differs from society to society, from religion to religion, from ethnic to ethnic.... Conservtives think the only family value that exists in this world is the only one that their priest told them on Sunday (when they go to church) and they stuck with it. As a result, they end up being narrow minded.

On the top of this, they don't know what it meant by separation of state and church. they think their church is the state and the state is their church. Due to this, they fail to know the job of the preident.Since their vote for president is based on the valuee told by their priest, their candidate should sound like their priest rather than sounding like a prisedent.

What it means is they need to be educated. Someone, who is kind enough shoul liberate them from the ignorance they suffer from.

Thank you j Denn of TX. Good observation about that finger. It is telling about both Sarah AND her consituency. They love to lecture the masses while corporations eat their lunch.

POINTY skinny finger at me...Stop it!

Please educate Palin to not point that finger at me.
