Barack Obama Handles the Sarah Palin Unborn Grandchild Issue Properly

Sen. Barack Obama handled the Palin teen pregnancy issue just right.

From Fox News:

Barack Obama addressed a gaggle of reporters this afternoon to discuss the latest goings-on with Hurricane Gustav. After brief opening comments on the much-hyped, overly politicized hurricane, reporters were curious about one thing: 17-year-old Bristol Palin's pregnancy, made public today. 'I have heard some of the news on this and so let me be a clear as possible: I have said before and I will repeat again, I think people's families are off limits, and people's children are especially off limits. This shouldn't be part of our politics,' the Democrat said forcefully. 'It has no relevance to Governor Palin's performance as governor, or her potential performance as a VP. And so I would strongly urge people to back off these kinds of stories,' he continued.

Liberal blogs have been talking up the issue for a day or two, including some reports that Gov. Palin's four-month-old son wasn't really her son—that she just feigned the pregnancy because the boy was really born to her daughter. That turned out to be completely untrue. It was also smart of Obama to put to rest as quickly as possible rumors that his campaign was involved in spreading gossip about Palin and her daughter.

I have to salute Obama for the statement............

............and to the person who wrote his/her review before me...Sarah Palin is great?did u wake up on the wrong side of the bed today?she is just a soccer mom and is a JOKE to the entire nation if she is to become the VP to the President of the USA.WAKE UP AMERICA!

way to go obama!

yes, he said the right thing about sarah palin and her daughter's pregnancy, basically it's no one's business. yes going for vp gives people the right to know about her life but not everything. if that's the case then why not ask about other personal things such as her sex life? get real, this is a non-issue. some things should be off limits and i agree that this is a private matter. they have made a decision as a family( to keep the baby) that concerns no one else. i admire the palin family for giving that baby the chance to be born(yes, i am pro-life)and i admire obama for standing up in this situation. he clearly did it to let everyone know if it were my daughter i would want that privacy and respect too.

No matter

Look at the issues...vote for the person who holds the same values you do. Period.
