So...when are you going to complain about the environment in India? China? Iraq? Iran? Russia? Venezuela? Africa? Qatar? Oh, wait. YOU WON'T. You bitch and moan and whine about the environment in the United States, despite the fact that compared to those countries, the US is paradise on Earth. But that doesn't concern you. You might've only seen a polar bear in a zoo, never seen a caribou, and never seen a humpback whale, but oh well, we need to limit our growth in order to save animals that have no direct impact on us because we're trying to save the planet, as your House Speaker, Pelosi, states.

Yeah, I believe in God, but not enough to pray to him every day of the night and go to church on a regular basis. Then again, it is YOU that is harboring beliefs of grandeur that if we don't save the planet, we're going to lose the environment we have now. I happen to think that the environment is far more complex than that and that anything we humans do is not going to have the much of a negative effect on the planet.

Except...most people that work in those downtown cities don't happen to live in downtown. They commute into the Downtown area and contribute to pollution within the city. But again, I digress.

But you should also see what else you can do like changing to flourescents, mowing only at night, inflating your tires properly, working from home if possible.

I don't know what research you have been reading, but not having children does not make you a happier person. Everyone I know that happens to have kids are quite happy people. However, people I do know that are single are not very happy people. I don't even know how you can make this leap of logic. Oh, and I can point to articles that'll support my argument, and I bet that those arguments are far stronger than the ones you will state support yours.
As for the environment, I can care less about it. That doesn't mean I am going to go ape$H!T and start throwing crap all over the place because I despise litterers and I try to take care of my own personal space as much as possible. But this enivronazism is detrimental to the survival of the US. No one ever complains about REAL environmental boondoggles, namably smog in China, deforestation in the Amazon, oil spills in the Middle East, but of course we rip on fellow Americans because they decide to drive big cars and live in downtown areas. And then we stab ourselves by declining to let other Americans drill for resources we need, and then we bitch when we spend money on resources foreigners have. I don't care about near extinct animals that may or may not be going extinct because it is their time to go extinct, I care about preserving the United States of America for future generations of Americans.
