Obama-size crowd???

"featured an Obama-size crowd (most of whom showed up no doubt to see Kid Rock, Def Leppard, and REO Speedwagon.)"

Why put this in here? Obama's two big crowd also came after free concerts. Germany had the two most popular artists and Oregon's free concert had been advertised for months before Obama decided to use it for a venue.

Give me a break.

McCain's sexism

I find it truly disgusting that the Republicans think that they can trick people into voting for a candidate with McCain's horrible record on women's issues by playing to bitterness. For all the flack Obama got for his "bitter" comment, that seems to be the assumption behind the wingnut attempt to attract women voters. I think that the positions on the issues that matter is more important than whether Obama called a reporter "sweetie". At least he didn't call her some of the names that McCain has called his own wife in public.

As far as McCain volunteering his wife for a biker hofest, I agree with those that are telling his critics to lighten up. The bothersome thing to me is the double standard. If it were Obama offering up his wife it would be 24/7 on the cable news, not just a few bloggers, making a big deal about it. The fact of the matter is that McCain has a serious problem on family values issues given his history of cheating on his first wife after her car accident. If it were a Dem they'd be all over this in the McCain Stream Media.

Jealous?

A gaffe? A sense of humor? Maybe McCain gaffed and has a sense of humor. Hil had no sense of humor. Obot has no sense.

Settle down

Alright, commenters. Let's all just take a breath, here.

I agree, "Sexist Gaffe" is ridiculous. John McCain was having fun and playing to the crowd. Obviously, this is a joke.

On the other hand, this article is just poor journalism, not further evidence of the "Great Liberal Media Control Conspiracy". The articles about the endearing term "sweetie" criticizing Obama as sexist came fast and furious at that time, as well. Perhaps these writers are Clinton supporters who are frustrated with the two current candidates?

McCain v. Chelsea Clinton

However Getreal,

Mccain also likes to joke about Hillary's daughter Chelsea. This didn't happen now when Chelsea is a young woman. This happened when Chelsea Clinton was FOURTEEN YEARS OLD!

The quote:

McCain: Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly?

McCain: Because Janet Reno is her real father.

He's respectful enough to call the ex-president's daughter ugly. He's respectful enough to call his wife a c*nt.

Is he respectful enough to run this country?

Sturgis and McCain

How dumb? At Sturgis, McCain encounging his wife to be "Miss Buffalo Chip?" Perhap Obama should use this in his ads? It is much more interesting than the McCain ads against Obama. Miss Buffalo Chip is a topless plus beauty contest.

McCain should not have been at this event, nevermind offering up his wife into such a contest. Conversatives surely would like to know about this. It shows his lack of leadership and judgment on McCain's part. He jumps and reacts and does not make thoughtful decisions. NEW OBAMA AD: THE PRESIDENCY IS NO BEAUTY CONTEST, SO WE HAVE TO ASK, "IS THIS THIS EXPERIENCE HE IS TALKING ABOUT? IS HE READY TO LEAD?"

Miss Buffalo Chip

Earlier this year one of McCain's (female) supports approached him and stated "How are we going to beat that B___h" Mccain's response was to laugh. That was his opportunity to show who he really is and I guess he really did reveal himself. Cindy McCain is plastic and isn't anywhere as qualified to be first lady as Michelle Obama, who worked for everything she got and did not have life handed to her on a silver platter only to become addicted to pain killer; and steal her drugs from her own charity. Or how about, Cindy Mccain dating a married man who has a severely injured wife and marries him within 30 days of dumping the injured wife. I guess by your standards she is first lady material. (lady ha, ha)

All the News....

This newspaper is as bad as the grocery store comic section. Cindy McCain Goes Topless! Hey, kids, stick to reporting the NEWS and stay out the Bushes!

Shameful Spectacle

Yes, suggesting that his wife take part in a topless contest is so very presidential.

Gaffe? The jokes on you

Amazing, when McCain says something funny, it's a gaffe, a mistake. When Obama says something truly stupid, he is embraced by the press, ala tire pressure. Wake up folks, your bias shows through.
