This is about Obama's flip flops

He also recently changed his views on socialized healthcare he is now against goverment run healthcare I wonder why he seemed so excited about it when he used it to get elected for democratic canidate. The only change he has shown is higher taxes his values and his mind.

Changing your stand on an issue, should not be a regular occurance.

Obama changes his stand on issues, depending on where he is at and who he is speaking to. So I should admire this?

How is that going to effect our country. A president who can be influenced soooo easily.

America needs a leader who knows where he stands.

Research

I am very open to hearing other forms of thoughts and ideas. Many times it is through listening to these ideas that we find solutions we wouldn't have considered before. That's why I feel it is necessary to take in all the information you can before making a decision - otherwise, what are you basing your decision on? Don't come out here and spout "change is important", "change is essential", what "change" are you referring to? Put facts in there, don't spout philosophy. This is politics, as President you can't spout eloquent lines, you have to physically do things. If you are referring to the act of change in particular, that's great! Change is essential for us to grow as a society. If you are referring to Obama's definition of "change", I suggest you research what exactly that is. I bet you don't have any idea. Because as soon as you look up one of his opinions, you are going to find him on both sides everytime. How can a man push for change all the time, but not have an actual clear vision for us to follow? Make sure you do your research before you vote, that way when the consequences fall for your uneducated actions, you can feel as though you made the best decision with the information given.

Um, he opposed nuclear POWER?

It seems like you don't understand the difference between opposing the proliferation of nuclear WEAPONS and wanting to expand research to harness nuclear power as an energy source.

Here's a quick hint for you: they're different things.

In addition, wanting to reform the terms of a trade agreement doesn't mean you suddenly oppose the entire pact. I don't see any flip-flopping there.

This is coming from a McCain supporter, by the way.

Change Vs. Instability

While I do agree completely that change is the only way to advance, great care must be taken in creating change, as not all change is for the better. What change can we really count on if the man has to redirect his efforts every couple of days? That is going in circles, NOT moving forward.

Seems to me, Obama, like many politicians these days, is a people pleaser. He wants to tell the people what he thinks they want to hear. Problem being, as mother used to say, you can please some of the people some of the time, but it is IMPOSSIBLE to please all of the people all of the time. Let's face it, in order for someone to "please" everyone and maintain the same position on an issue, he has to either A) Continuously speak to the SAME people (which for a President is completely absurd) or B) Have complete and total agreement between ALL peoples (which is also absurd considering so many differing viewpoints that naturally occur in the educated population). In this society, you can either be hot or cold, but lukewarm is a travisty.

So, now, the question remains... do you want change that will break apart all efforts at stability because it will be circular logic providing directions (assuming, of course, that either candidate actually sticks to his campaign promises), or would you rather have stability with the possibility of a step or two in the forward motion (considering I believe the VP nom. for the GOP is a forward thinker)? You decide, America. Isn't that wonderful?

Oh man...

If you really want the non-partisan truth check out either one or both of these two sites:

politifact.com

snopes.com

Those of you that claim you know the truth... check it out and see if you really do. The site lists all its sources.

I'm sure though that the ones that find their "truth" was wrong will find ways to say these sites are bogus. They are not bogus and they are non-partisan.

obama change

Most americans don't want change. WE want to preserve our institutions, our personal and economic freedoms. Obama is a liberal who wants to impliment components of socialism. This empowers government and weakens the individual. It will move our country into the direction of an underachieving european economy. Most voting americans have a clear understanding of this. This is why liberals always lose elections. There is areason why people from all over the world want america to be their permanent residence. Its free fend for yourself economy creates unprecedented opportunity for all. Opportunity is guarenteed here but not success. Government doesn't have the capacity to do that. Also the oil companies have brought us affordable energy since oils discovery. They were vital to making america the only world super power. Now obama wants to demonize these companies. Talk about destroying the goose that laid the golden egg. When the dollar comes back like it always does oil will be cheap again.

I agree with you

Change is one thing - having no core principles or values is something entirely different. How can logical thinking people even think about voting for someone who changes his mind everyday on major issues? That's ridiculously reckless. I know everyone was swept off their feet with his pretty speeches, but now that they are starting to see that he has no core values, no roots, I hope they can also see that he is change that we cannot believe in. If you take him at his word, you will be disappointed, because his words change depending on who he's talking to. He's what we used to call two-faced and he definitely talks out of both sides of his mouth.
